Review summary

We have a family of five (kids are 15, 18, 19) and it was the perfect vacation for all of us. We were each able to do things that we wanted to do individually and we did plenty together as well. The Carnival staff was exceptional without exception. I don't know what would have made this vacation better, it was paradise!

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Once we finally got in to the parking garage, I was shocked how quickly we were on the ship!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food was excellent. The main dining room had so many great options and offered a fun atmosphere for our whole family. The buffets had so much to offer and we were happy with everything we had.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The fitness center was super crowded the first morning, but after that we didn't have any trouble getting on machines. Everything was very clean. The pool deck was great and there was plenty of chairs. We signed up for a whisky event which was informative and fun.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
We went to the comedy show every night which was mostly great! One of the comedians was definately better than the other. Stage shows were entertaining and had great talent. The rock show was awesome! Had fun at all the performances. Cruise director had a ton of energy and made the events so fun.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
Our 15 year old daughter loved the O2 club she went to every day! It would have been great if there was something for 18-20 year olds to meet and mingle. They are too old for the kid's clubs and too young for some other stuff.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Can't say enough about the service and staff. Our room steward, Troy, was friendly and remembered our name from the first time he met us. It made us feel very welcome. Our dinner staff, Elena, Chat, and another I can't remember were exceptional. We felt we had the best in the restaurant, but I think everyone felt that way. All ship personnel were honestly awesome. We even had to visit the clinic as our son got sick and onboard doctors/health personnel were super helpful

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Every area was clean and well designed. No complaints.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was clean and well designed. We had more than enough room, we loved the balcony, and even the bathroom and shower were spacious. Plenty of drawer and closet space to unpack for the week.

Ship tip

Bring a lanyard for your room key and for our ship, I wish we had warmer clothes for being outside at night, but blankets were available to borrow.

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
We did the Amazing Race excursion and it was worth every penny. Our family had so much fun! It was well organized and safe and so so much fun.

Progreso (Merida), Mexico

5 out of 5
The free shuttle into Progresso was air conditioned and comfortable. It dropped us off right in town in a market and within walking distance to the beach. Plenty of shopping. The beach was fine and we spend the day there. Very inexpensive drink and food options all over.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
We didn't realize that the floors went from 3 to 6 because their aren't any cabins on 4 and 5 so we weren't expecting our floor to be called when it was. Overall, it went very quickly though. Elevators definitely backed up.
