Ship: Carnival Glory

Traveled as: Family (young children)

Review summary

This cruise was all about the staff. They all were very friendly and amazing. They were very interactive with our children and even gave them a special surprise. The food was typical Carnival and good. The ship never felt overcrowded and was nice. Would definitely sail on her again.

Embarkation

New Orleans has been a great port for embarkation. Show docs, walk through security, get on ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Typical Carnival food. Guys and blue iguana great. Buffet hit or miss, and MDR great service.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Always something to do for anyone. Really liked the way they ran the comedy club on this one. They don't make everyone exit after the kids show so you can relax and enjoy your drinks.

Children's Programs

The highlight of the cruise. They were so amazing and interactive with our kids. We received notes almost every day saying how well our kids behaved etc. The last day they surprised them with teddy bears. AMAZING!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Everyone was very friendly and outgoing. One of the best staffs of all cruises we have been on.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Easy layout. Starting to show some wear and tear but not dirty. Would definitely cruise on this ship again.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We had an aft balcony. We got lucky and ours was larger than others that we could see.

Ports of call

New Orleans, Louisiana

Great food and very nice people. City can be a bit dirty but the vibe is one of a kind.

Progreso (Merida), Mexico

My least favorite port of all. The water is dirty, and you have to take a long bus ride to get to the city. Would like to visit cenotes but those are an hour away.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Bluest water ever. Things to do for everyone. Have been here several times and have never been disappointed.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Quick and easy! Walked right off.
