We will be doing one more cruise with carnival before we try a different line. Our first cruise was much more enjoyable as the staff were more friendly and definately better at their job's.

Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Food was good but not as diverse as our last cruise. The specialty windows burger place helped. Formal dining was good but nothing great. Service was wonderful though.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Hot tubs were not hot. Fitness center was nice.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
Everything was great except for seating in the comedy club. People were not sharing the large booths. We asked at the bar on 2 different nights for assistance and were told there was nothing they could do. We did not get to see any of the shows.
Children's Programs
No kids
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Most of the service was very good. There were a few rude bartenders and service in dining area felt pretty rushed on one night. OurSteward Paul was great. Cleaning looked good each day but I dropped something the se ond day and when I got down to retrieve it there was trash under the bed. Checked again a few days later and still there.
Ship Quality

Everything looked great in all main areas. The maintenance going g on was very loud and annoying. There was one day we couldnt stay in our room at all.
Cabin / Stateroom

Bunk mattresses were not great. Refer to early comment on vacumning. Lots of closet space. Cleaning balcony windows once in a while would be great. We tried to clean ours ourselves so we could see while sitting. The part we did stayed that way for remainder of trip so it is feasible to do.
Ship tip
For the experience and value we like carnival. Be sure to ask if you need something as we always have everything g we need taken care of.
I spend a lot of time in Mexico. This was my first time in Cozumel as I've always been told it was too touristy. We lived it. Very pretty. Nice people. Lots of inexpensive shopping. Cant wait to go again!
Not great. I purchased jewelry on board and was told it would be no hassle and no customs because it's an American shop. Not true. Stopped when I was leaving. Put onto a small area with no explanation. Waited over 20 mins. Man that came to talk to people * there were about 10 of us) was abrupt and barked out orders like a drill Sargent. Acted like he was some big important person. Told us everything would go smoothly if we just followed his directions. Were not told what was going on till almost 40 mins later. There were several older women in the group that were actually scared they had done something wrong. Didnt get the man's name but he needs to be retrained or moved elsewhere!!! Once he left us at customs the people there were great. The lady that helped me told me I didnt owe anything but they had to check? Still don't understand why it was handled this way.
Are you working for CC? You seem to be so critical and looking for things to find that are negative. I have sailed with Carnival MANY times and have never looked under the bed or behind the curtains, etc. You should chill and try to enjoy yourself instead of being the way you are.
