Review summary

The ship was was nice and there were tons of activities and entertainment to choose from. There were so many dining options that I didn't get to try them all and most of the ones I tried were really good. The staff couldn't have been nicer and we felt absolutely spoiled by Caetano and Natalja.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We ate in the main dining room every night. The food was good, but not exceptional. There were some nights that I truly didnt see anything on the menu that appealed to me. The service was stellar, though and Natalja was such a joy. We tried the lunch buffet once and it was pretty awful. We opted for Guy's Burger Joint or Blue Iguana most days. Breakfast was the surprise standout meal for this cruise. Both the dining room and the buffet had great options, all of them tasty.

Service and Staff

I cannot say enough great things about our Cabin Steward, Caetano. From his introduction the first afternoon until our last night aboard, he took great care of us. I asked for some ice on day one, and he made sure that we had ice every evening. Every time we saw him, he was smiling and called us by name. He was awesome! Natalja in the Platinum Dining room made our dinners so much fun. She made us feel pampered and special and was very sweet when we had special requests. As a former server on a cruise line, I know how hard her job is. Natalja made it look easy and her service was flawless.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was well laid out, comfortable, and we had plenty of room to relax. However, the bathroom had an awful sewer smell during the entire cruise, and it was not due to lack of cleanliness. Caetano, our cabin steward, kept it spotless. And the air conditioner did not keep the cabin cool. We live in South Alabama and are used to hot, humid weather, but our cabin stayed miserably hot and damp. If not for the smell and the poor air conditioning, the cabin would have been five stars.

We booked the VIP Dolphin Swim at Dolphnaris and absolutely loved it! The shops at the port were nice.

Progreso (Merida), Mexico

Not much to see here. We made the mistake of venturing into Merida in our own and I wouldn't recommend it.

Disembarkation
