Review summary

Our cruise was amazing, even though my son was sick almost the entire time with a sore throat, ear ache and fever off and on. We went to the ship's Dr and got medicine, but it didn't really help. They were all amazing there as well. We loved just spending time on the Lido deck watching the different contests and fun games going on. The food was great, but I do with the buffet on 9 Aft had a little more variety. The MDR was great, the waiters and staff were awesome and friendly. I had some spa treatments and while they were all amazing, it was a little annoying the way they tried to get me to buy their products afterwards. with that being said, I did buy some from the facial I had and I love them! The ports were fun and we enjoyed them very much. Getting off and on the ship was super easy and painless at the ports as well. Overall, this was a great trip and we're already planning another cruise with Carnival for next year!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was perfect for the 2 of us. I cruised with my son and 2 of his friends. I shared my cabin with the female that was with us and we had no problems with it being too small. We both loved the balcony and enjoyed watching the dockings and ports from there!

Ship tip

If you get seasick, try to avoid the upper deck cabins. Try the seabands though, they are amazing!

Ports of call

Grand Turk Island

It honestly wasn't all I expected it to be. We rented a golf cart and we're almost positive that the guy we rented from stole my son's drivers license. He was very sketchy when we asked him if he still had it when my son realized it was missing. Outside of the port area, it's kind of dirty and nothing to really see except the lighthouse area. The port area itself was great and clean

San Juan, Puerto Rico

LOVED San Juan. It's so pretty and interesting there. We didn't do an excursion, but rather walked around ourselves. One of our party speaks fluent Spanish so that helped a lot.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

FAVORITE stop ever. St. Thomas is SO beautiful. We did the Magen's Beach and Paradise Point excursion and it was great! Our guide was awesome and so knowledgeable about everything. We loved the beach and paradise point it amazing. The views from there took my breath away

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

5 out of 5
This was an interesting stop because we rented the private van for the day and we got to go to all sorts of places. Our guide was great and again, having someone who spoke Spanish was a big help. I learned so much about the DR and loved every minute of it.

Disembarkation
