I can't say enough about how hard Carnival works to keep their customers happy. This was a terrific experience for us, and we're already planning our next cruise!
Embarkation

Embarkation was as quick and painless as it could be. Since we booked a suite, we got priority boarding.

Food and Dining

Loved the Steahouse, and also the Main Dining Room. The buffet was good also - my only issue with the buffet (breakfast) is the same issue I have with EVERY buffet: temperature. If I'm the first one in line at the buffet, when I scoop that first Eggs Benedict out of the pan, it should NOT be lukewarm. Likewise with the grits. You should be able to melt a pat of butter in them. Other than that, Carnival does a great job of feeding such large groups. The Seafood Shack does a lobster roll just like my favorite place in New Hampshire. And of course, Guy's Burgers is just "good eats"!
Onboard Activities

We loved the trivia games played throughout the cruise, and sang karaoke one night. There are so many activities it's hard to choose!

Service and Staff

Our room steward(ess), Xiomara, was absolutely fantastic! She seemed to do whatever we needed before we even knew what we needed! The entire staff was warm and friendly, and everywhere we went there was someone cleaning something.

Perfect! More storage space than I dreamed we would have. We actually had all our things stowed out of sight, and our suitcases slid under the bed. The setup was roomy and comfortable. We began and ended each day on our balcony.

We did the Top 10 Best of Belize. We learned a great deal about the history and culture of Belize, and our tour guide Tony was knowledgeable, warm, and very proud of his country.
It was a lifelong wish of mine to see Chichen Itza, so we were very excited to take this excursion. We absolutely loved it, but it won't be for everyone. This is an 8-hour excursion, but included in that time is your water shuttle from Cozumel to Playa del Carmen, then a 2 hour bus ride inland to the ruins. You only spend about an hour and 15 minutes at the ruins. However, the bus is comfy and air conditioned, and when you feel the blazing heat at Chichen Itza, you'll be grateful you're only out in that sun for an hour or so. (On the plus side, there's ice cold Corona waiting for you on the bus when you finish your tour. )
Well said cruisingrayman!!!! I hate when people post about how horrible their cruise was. These people are without their families and work hard for us.
Nice! You captured one of the main points many miss, which is how hard cruise workers work on a daily basis. Can you imagine 5, 6 or 7 months without a day off and multiple shifts daily. Love what these hard working souls do to help us enjoy our vacations. Thank you cruise workers everywhere!
