From the moment I stepped on the ship, I was made to feel welcome and at home. The entire staff was memorable, everyone from my cabin steward to the bartenders to my waitstaff to the DJ in the nightclub. I would absolutely recommend the Glory to almost any cruiser, from first timers to the experienced cruiser who wants a fun yet relaxing experience. There is enough to do on the glory to remain entertained without being overwhelmed or feeling pressured to participate. The Eastern Caribbean itinerary offers something for everyone and you will never forget it even if you decide to explore on your own without excursions (although I would recommend some excursions). If you enjoy night life on a cruise, the white heat dance club on the glory never disappoints and the bartenders are some of the best that I have encountered whether at land or at sea.

Food and Dining

I never had a bad meal in the main dining room and I think the service was alot better in the main dining room than it was on a larger ship I went on. The coffee shop was amazing in both service and quality. My only complaint is that there is a lack of nice specialty restaurant options apart from the Emerald Steakhouse (that I did not go to that time but I will on my next sailing) and the buffet remains so extremely crowded at all hours of the day that I pretty much avoided it altogether. Guys burgers was excellent as well but the sushi was not impressive enough for the extra charge paid.
White Heat Dance Club

The layout of the dance floor and lounging areas and bar service was A plus! The DJ had me dancing all night and I made alot of friendships there.
Platinum Restaurant

I was never disappointed in the food or service in any way.
Alchemy Bar

The best drinks I have ever enjoyed anywhere!
Onboard Activities

The pools and slides were so extremely crowded that I did not frequent them on this cruise but there were ample hot tubs and places to relax for adults. I also did not go to the spa or the fitness center on my cruise so I cannot speak for the quality of those facilities. The casino was simple but well laid out with great bartnders and the nightclub dancing was my absolute favorite activity on the ship. Also, the staff at the bars were extremely friendly and the venues for the shows were enjoyable.
Ivory Club Bar

They have a large selection of top shelf liquors and great service in a quieter environment. Great place to take advantage of the Cheers program if you have it ( I recommend).
Entertainment

I enjoyed the late night comedy shows and variety of adult activities on the ship; the nightclub is absolutely steller too! The DJ in the white heat comedy club had me dancing all night and the bartenders in there were also top notic. There was only one late night comedian that I was not particularly impressed with and I loved
the comfortable seating in the comedy club. The piano bar there was not my thing but the performances from the singers and dancers truly got my attention and im someone that never actively attends concerts and shows in my hometown.

Service and Staff

My cabin steward was absolutely phenomenal and went above and beyond to make us feel special, even greeting us by name in the mornings and evenings. My room was perfect and I had never had such great service on the more expensive Vista ship. My bartenders remembered me and often recommended drinks that they thought I would like. Everyone was very efficient and very friendly and I remember alot of my favorite staff members well. My waiter was attentive without being overly attentive and did everything to make the dining experience feel like it was first class.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
The facilities were extremely well maintained at all hours of the day and night. It was easy to get around apart from the strange layout of the dining rooms. It was easy to get to know the ship and navigate the facilities but there was still plenty to do.
Cabin / Stateroom

I was pleasantly surprised with the design and overall comfort of my cabin; even the couch was extremely comfortable and played host to many of my naps :) My cabin steward was extremely cleanly and attentive and addressed us by our names many times as we approached the cabin. He went above and beyond. I did not feel like an oceanview cabin was worth the difference in price from an inside cabin though unless you want and need a couch/lounge area.
Ship tip
If you like to dance, do not miss the late nights at the white heat club and if you like to drink, do not miss asking the bartenders for a custom drink at The Alchemy Bar.
Embarkation is always as pleasant as it can be in the gorgeous city of Miami and I especially enjoy visiting the city for a night out on the town prior to embarkation.
This is the most idyllic place out there for a nice, quiet beach day on your cruise. I am more likely to book a cruise itinerary in the future that features this port. The word, "picturesque" is definitely an understatement for this breathtaking gem. However, the equipment rental is expensive and there are no worthwhile excursion option in my opinion. These are very minor complaints in an absolute paradise though.
I took the snorkeling excursion to turtle cove and it was extremely worthwhile. Turtles were seen nearby, although not super close, because the snorkeling was a little crowded in the area. However, the reef and the abundance of fish to view were spectacular. Afterwards, the drinks and the view of the island while sailing back to the port made for an idyllic afternoon with fellow guests. The port itself was kind of "meh" in my opinion though. The shopping options were great yet a little on the expensive side. However, there were not alot of public facilities like restrooms and I got the distinct impression that it might not be a good idea to wander too far from the port on foot; security seemed to very tight right outside of the cruise ship though so I felt very safe in the actual port area.
I was extremely underwhelmed by my excursion to the Bacardi Rum distillery and city tour. The tour guide was a snoozefest and so was the tour of the distillery; I would not recommend unless you're looking to purchase a lot of Bacardi merchandise and souvenirs. It was alot more fun when I took a self guided tour of the fort and Old San Juan by myself afterwards and it was an easy walk back to the ship on my own as well. I would recommend not booking an excursion at this port and doing a self guided tour of Old San Juan.
This was my favorite port on the cruise. I took the catamaran snorkeling excursion through Carnival and it was extremely worthwhile. It was also the most memorable snorkeling that I have had in the Eastern Caribbean and it is so nice that there is a convenient beach and nice facilities to enjoy after the excursions. I had so much fun swimming in the beautiful ocean and partying at Margaritaville after my excursion that I was worried about becoming a port runner!
