Review summary

We had an excellent time. We were celebrating our anniversary and really enjoyed being able to kick back and enjoy each other while someone else did all the work. Overall a great experience despite some negatives.

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
By far the WORST food I have ever experienced on a Carnival cruise. I couldn’t wait to get home and cook for myself. Last thing I should be looking forward to while on vacation.

Service and Staff

Some of the staff cleaning the decks while passengers were present were a little less than pleasant if you were in their way.

Ship tip

If you are a lady who dries her hair with a hairdryer, bring your own. Although the ship provides one in your cabin, it is attached to the inside of a drawer by a short cord, making it almost impossible to use.

Ports of call

Grand Turk Island

3 out of 5
Expected much more from this port and was very disappointed with it. The excursion we took was good, but not as good as other comparable excursions I have taken in past ports of call. Too many people crammed in a small space to enjoy it.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

4 out of 5
Did not give this 5 stars because of the damage from the hurricane and it’s impact on our shore excursion, but we really enjoyed it here and would definitely return when things are functioning a bit more normal.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

5 out of 5
We visited one of the beaches for our excursion. It was clean and enjoyable and the island was stunning. Some of the best views on the trip.

Amber Cove (Puerto Plata), Dominican Republic

Loved, loved, loved. Want to go back and spend some time here. Overall best stop of the cruise. Food on shore was soooo good. We drove across the island to a beach. The beach was enjoyable but the ride there was the best. Really enjoyed seeing the countryside

And our 20th will be spent on the Glory starting June 23rd. Did you eat in the dinning room or buffet? I heard to use the main dining for all courses.
