The overview of the cruise was ok. My rating would be better if the pool attendants would have allowed us to have fun on the fun ship, because of them Carnival Cruises will be on the bottom of the list for us.
Embarkation
2 out of 5
Most do the early registration and not wait to do it the day of. We did not make any lines and we were in the ship with in minutes. Easy and quick embarkation.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
I prefer to pick my own time to have diner, but because we were a large group it was best to have a set time. The food was not the best and the steaks were extremely disappointing. The shrimp in the shrimp cocktails were mini shrimps. The quality of the food has gone down hill.
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
Basketball was my husbands favorite. Miniature golf was a hit with the kids and adults. The pool was very tense. The pool, slides and water park attendants made our party of 10 experience a night mare from the first day. The kids could not play catch in the pool with a ball, could not splash (meaning jump in the pool), you could not go down the slide with shoes, could not go down the slide with sunglasses on, had to cross your legs while going down the slide, only a certain high of kids could go down the smaller slides, and all of these rules were no where to be found written anywhere. We felt bullied, discriminated against and harassed. Other cruisers would not follow the "rules" and were never spoken to, but we would breath the wrong way and there were three pool attendants talking down to us and correcting our every move. The pool attendants have radios to communicate among each other and we could tell they were talking and mocking us because they would continuously look at us and laugh. We are minority as well as they all are and I know they would not like the same treatment they gave us if they were the one's on vacation. The bullying and taunting was unacceptable. Our last day on the ship was at sea and my father (heart patient) did not want to go to the pool area because the hostility. It definitely ruined our experience from day one. As a family of 10 we decided to go on Carnival because its known to be a fun ship, but these pool attendants made it known we picked wrong. We witnessed other adults and kids that were not following the "rules" and yet the pool attendants would not be taunting them like they would taunt us. Our smiles and laughter were quickly stopped because we were once again being scolded by the pool attendants.

Service and Staff
1 out of 5
This terrible rating is directed to the pool attendants (pretend lifeguards). Our room stewardess was attentive to our needs. The waiters were even more attentive, by serving and having ready some of our individual liking's.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
The ship is not new, therefore, it needs a face lift in a few areas. Ex: Cabins bathroom, light fixtures in cabins, ceilings tiles in major areas, wear and tear all around the ship. Kids only have one pool available to them in addition to the water "park" area which is height restricted. The cleanliness is on point and the staff does their best to keep everything clean.

Ship tip
Don't go on board thinking it's a new ship, and if you have kids in your party be prepared to be scolded by the pool attendants.
I had been to Grand Turks Island 4 years ago and it has changed for the better. The beach is right next to the port. We brought our own snorkeling gear and went out on our own in the designated areas to snorkel. Margaritaville has showers to clean off sand from the beach and the pool as well as the pool chairs are complimentary. Keep in mind that some of the beach chairs and umbrellas are not complimentary, but the beach chairs that are a little further away from the water are complimentary. The Island is small and not much to do, therefore, it was the cheapest Island we went to.
It was raining on and off and we decided to take a bus/trolley up to the mountain. Where we took amazing, breath taking pictures and we were able to purchase lower priced souvenirs. The ride cost us $6 per person round trip.
First time visiting Amber Cove and I fell in love. The port is super clean and new. We wanted to go to the water falls. Carnival excursions were a little on the high end, so we decided to talk to a taxi driver negotiate our price for a party of 10, to take us to the water falls and at the water falls we paid the entrance fee ($12.00 per person). With the $12 purchase that includes, helmet, life vest and two tour guides. There are a total of 12 water falls, but due to the limited time we were only able to do 7 water falls out of the 12. Once the hiking is done (it took a good hour and 1/2 to climb/hike), but once you jump in the water, you quickly know it was all worth the climb/hiking. There are natural slides with in the waterfalls, you jump off cliffs and the tour guides tell you were to jump. We have been to Jamaica, Dominica and El Yunque at Puerto Rico, but this was different and extremely fun!
The Glory is 15 years old and for the cruise industry that is rather old. Carnival has had two newer class of ship since then. On all of our Carnival sailing there has been a no jumping into the pools policy and most have had no "toys" in the pools. The height restrictions are posted at the slides. I am sorry you were not aware of these rules before you sailed and that you felt your adventure was ruined.
Knowing how small the pool is, it's to be expected that you can't ball. It's too crowded to jump into as well. Unless it's the belly flop contest and they clear it for that. We were just on the Glory and had a fantastic time.
I may be stating the obvious but there are too many people in the pools to play ball or jump into. I am sorry that they made you feel like they were hanging up on your family though.
