This was our first cruise with Carnival and we had an amazing time. We traveled with two 17 year olds and while in port they had a great time. The ship is clean and the staff was amazing. My only wish was that the Red Sail buffet had hot food with more choices and that there were more family oriented activities earlier in the day on sea days.

The boarding of the Glory went very smoothly and took no time at all. The only reason I give it four stars was because we had to carry our jackets and backpacks for a few hours once boarding the ship since our rooms were not available until 1:30pm. I would like to have been able to at least make a 10 second visit to our room to drop those items off.

We are not drinkers so I can't comment on the alcohol on board. Plus we only ate in the Golden Restaurant once because our two teenagers didn't enjoy it. My husband and I really enjoyed our meal in there though. As far as the buffet goes, we were not impressed. Each buffet line had the same foods and the food was room temperature, never hot. We also had the pizza and Guys burgers, which were both a hit with my family because they were hot and yummy.
Onboard Activities

We used the waterslide and fitness center. Both were easily accessible and clean. We got to use the hot tub just once because they were always full. People literally sat in the hot tub for hours on end and even let their children play in it like it was a pool. We also participated in all the shows,Clue, bingo, some trivia, carnival games, comedy shows, etc. There was always something planned to do after 7pm but not much for families before that unless you were in the pool. We ended up taking board games out of the game room and using them to fill down time.

Entertainment

The stage shows were AWESOME, that staff was amazing and full of energy. We also really enjoyed the DJ's and the singers. There was one pair of singers and we didn't really enjoy them, the woman singer was not great to listen to. The band however was really good.
Service and Staff

The service staff was amazing. Our room steward Punta and his assistant Kharisma were so friendly and right on top of things. I really wonder when they slept or ate since they were always in our hallway. The dining staff was amazing, always polite and helpful. The fun squad was always full of energy though they didn't always seem to know the rules of the games they were in charge of which was weird.
Ship Quality

We loved the layout, it was easy to get around and the ship is very clean. We were a little surprised that passengers were allowed to fill their water bottles at the ice and water machines. They could have been told to use a clean cup to fill their bottles.
Cabin / Stateroom

Comparable inside state room to other ships except that it had three closets which we loved. There was plenty of room to store everything. Our steward did a great job of cleaning it. One note is that the shower curtain would go out of the shower and the floor would get wet. That was a bit of a strange design.

Try all the different dining experiences and don't miss any of the shows.
A beautiful island. We booked an excursion through Daniel Johnson's Monkey and Sloth Sanctuary. This was an amazing experience. The guides were very informative and truly loved the animals.
The port itself was clean and your typical port. We booked the cave tubing and ATV excursion through shoreexcursioneer.com Our guides Walter and Freddy was amazing and defintely patient. We had a family of 5 join us and they were very difficult and needy but our guides took it with stride and handled it beautifully. They picked us up right at the port, we boarded and air conditioned van for a one hour drive out to the site while Walter told us lots about the city. Once we got to the cave tubing we suited up and walked about 25 minutes to the start point. (We didn't have to carry our tubes as they were already at the start point, though many other excursions had to carry theirs). Along the jungle trail our guides pointed out lots of fauna. The cave tubing itself is nothing to write home about, just a leisurely float down. Then we loaded back up and went to the ATV site. The ATV's were older and beat on but got the job done. We had a kid leading us but he was great, always checking on us and kept the right speed for us as we were all experienced riders. There was a lot of MUD, it was great. Then they served us a yummy lunch of chicken and rice. We were back on board in plenty of time, in fact beat the ship excursions back.
We loved Cozumel, the port is full of shops and entertainers. The prices were really good (no need to bargain). We had a resort day at Playa Mia and it was so fun. It has a water park out on the ocean, kayaks, bikes and such to use for free, a waterslide, pool, hot tub, chairs and an all inclusive buffet and bar. Very clean and the staff was great.
