Embarkation

This was our first cruise. Not knowing what to expect, carnival ran a tight ship and we were able to find everywhere we needed to go. Quick and easy!

Ate in the platinum restaurant six out of seven nights. Got to meet another couple and she with them each night. Food was excellent and waitstaff were very attentive.

Performers were incredibly talented. Something for everyone! The comedy shows were great and the crowd grew exponentially throughout the week.
Children's Programs
Didn't bring the kids with us and didn't participate in any of the kids oriented activities. But plan to bring kids next time.

When I booked the cruise a year ago, I didn't know what the * meant next to the room number. Thought it was something special so I gave it a shot. All it meant was that we had a choice of two twin beds apart or pushed together to make a king. The shower didn't drain very well creating a pool and overflow.
Ship tip
If you want a clam shell or hammock on the serenity deck, you better be an early riser. People get there early and leave there did on it all day. Not supposed to do that, but what are you going to do?
Did the great barrier reef snorkel and starfish island getaway. Snorkelling was crowded as it was a guided tour rather than free swim. Start fish island looked like it was going to be crowded but wasn't at all. Boat ride was awesome and entertaining. Still had time to take a tender into Belize City after the excursion to check out the mainland and shops.
Stand up paddle board and beach excursion was cancelled (were notified the night we embarked), so we choose the dolphin encounter and snorkel experience. Was cool to interact with the dolphins and the snorkel in the aquarium was better than we initially thought. Open bar too. Can't beat that!
