This was mine and my 2 yo daughter's first cruise and choosing balcony room was the best way to travel for 7 days. We enjoyed waking to the view of the ocean, sky and sun! We were in the front part of the ship and close by the elevators, but no complications. All went well on the ship and at the ports, I felt safe with my 2 yo. This cruise was great! Great ports to visit! Great people! Overall, GREAT!

All went well, however a little overwhelming when boarding and having lunch prior to locating your stateroom.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

Food on point at every corner. I especially enjoyed the sit down dining for the evenings.
Onboard Activities

I thought the pools were two small for the cruise and overcrowded, so I did not go into the pools. However, tanning around the ship was easy and comfortable with many lounging chairs. Overall, okay for me.
Entertainment

Performers and the shows were awesome!
Children's Programs

My 2 yo seemed to enjoy the camp and they made me feel she was in good hands. They provided me with a phone that they would contact me in case of an emergency. Though I left her one evening from 8-10 pm and another day from 10 am-12/1 pm and she comfortable to walk right in and join the other children. We really enjoyed the Dr. Seuss breakfast and she has all the pictures to remember it when she gets older!
Service and Staff

Ship was beautiful and ongoing cleaning with the staff on board was seen. I really enjoyed seeing that cleanliness seemed to be a top priority.
Cabin / Stateroom

Our balcony stateroom needs updating. First day we had a plumber, electrician and housing keeping all come to fix simple areas of the room to be a more comfortable stay. This was more of an inconvenience the first day, then all was well after.
I did not like the tender boat. This is where I think tender boats need to give priority to disabled, elderly, and women with children to remain upstairs and send abled bodies to the lower decks. I felt sick waiting to enter the Carnival ship.
Port itself, was good and easy to locate my excursion group for the day.

Port itself, was good. I did not plan an excursion here, but went on a discounted one from the locals. Godfrey, our tour guy, did a perfect job!!! Go see him!!!
This port was the most beautiful one! Our excursion was great! Gustavo was our tour guy and he did awesome. We went to the Mayan ruins and I took my city mini jogger stroller and it went through all terrain, which was my main reason for bring it. My 2 yo traveled comfortable and stroller netted away from the mosquitos (there are lots of them). This was my favorite port and I hope to return in the future.
