Review summary
We selected Carnival because of the Ports: Amber Cove, St Thomas, San Juan, and Grand Turks. The price was right for the amount of ports. We were pleasantly surprised with the on-ship entertainment. The evening shows were very well done.

I read some reviews that had recommended doing the Waterfall tour of Damajagua. We chose to do it through Iguana Mama to save some money. They did a great job with the tour and the Waterfalls were a highlight of the trip.
There isn't much at this port. Just a pool and two waterslides. Many people didn't even leave the ship for this port. There isn't a real beach to go to. The water's murky. The town of Puerto Plato is run down. So unless you're doing an excursion, I wouldn't plan on spending much time off the boat here.
