Good Cruise for all ages

Sail Date: May 30, 2015

Reviewed: 1 year ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Balcony

The Carnival Glory was a great ship for families with many different needs.  There was a variety of food and entertainment.  Also many different areas if you just want to relax. Two separate adult only areas.  Our family loved Guy's Burger joint, as did most of the passengers.  When Carnival advertises as a "Fun Ship" they provide the atmosphere.  There were many many bars on this ship.  We enjoyed the comedy, Hasbro game shows and movies under the stars.  The staff was very friendly.  I saw one lady take the time to talk to a single elderly passenger for a very long time.  I spoke to two different staff members for about 10 minutes each about various things.  The only thing that needs work is the cleanliness.  I think they might need to work on embarkation.  Our stateroom wasn't clean when we were allowed to enter.  The cabin still had other passenger's forgotten items.  The bathroom wasn't cleaned - toothpaste on the counter and sticky floor.  The worst thing was my daughter's bedding had a big blood stain on it.  Our luggage was also delivered fairly late compared to other cruises we have taken.  Other public areas were also not as clean compared to other cruises.  This was our 9th cruise.

Ship Quality
A variety of entertainment, but could be cleaner
Food and Dining
A good variety of food. However no gluten free menu
Service and Staff
Very friendly
Entertainment
Comedy for both children and over 18
Children's Programs Didn't use
Onboard Activities
Many options
Destinations and Excursions
We enjoyed all the ports
Cabin / Stateroom
It was fine once they cleaned everything up. We have two teenage children. So it was small for 4 people. Many families purchased the inside cabin for their teens.
Miami, Florida
Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)
Beautiful beach
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
Typical port with shops. We went on the BOSS excursion Next time I'd like to go on the other side of the island
San Juan, Puerto Rico
People were nice. We just walked and looked at the forts
Grand Turk Island
Same typical shops. Our excursion was fun the power snorkel adventure
