Review summary
Very nice since putting in place the "FunShip" 2.0 features on board. Guy's burger joint was excellent as was the blue iguana burrito and tacos. Very authentic, great a la carte options that were never included with carnival voyages before.
I've cruised a dozen times or so on many lines, and the food on carnival, especially the steakhouse competes or exceeds Royal Caribbean on many levels. Even the Oasis, with it's multiple options fails to compete with carnival.
The ports of call were ok..Cozumel is great for shopping, Belize for snorkeling, Roatan for the beach and Costa Maya for the port..which has a wonderful restaurant, swim-up bar and ample shopping in the immediate area.
Definitely a cruise, however, to be on your guard. Be very careful if planning trips on your own into Belize City or outside Costa Maya's port. Can be dangerous.
Brought my 12-year old as a graduation gift and she didn't want the cruise to end. She absolutely loved it.

Ship tip
Try to enjoy breakfast plated option in the dining room if you can..much better than buffets on Lido. Steakhouse is EXCEPTIONAL. Do not miss this option! I've never been let down on any carnival ship. Get to the Lido deck early (9am) if you want to sit poolside on days at sea!!
Ports of call
Mahogany Bay, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras
