Stan was the Best. He was the maître d’ in the Posh dining room. Unlike Christina he owned the problem and fixed it.

Service and Staff

Christina in Guest Services (GS) was impatient and caused a delay in getting a problem resolved. At 3:30 AM I went to GS. I had all of the documentation needed but she refused to look. She insisted that Carnival Corporate be contacted. A day later after my sending requests to Carnival Care fortunately her Manager contacted me. He apologized and fulfilled their original commitment. So much for her being a “Customer Guest Services” Rep. This all happened with two days left on my cruise. THEN the ship caught on fire.

Since we were stranded there for 2 extra days the island businesses raised their prices.

Since we were stranded for two days on the Freedom this process went Great! We received the same cabin assignment on the Conquest.

The Back to Back was great. It was a 4 day and 5 day B to B. Instead of 9 day cruise it ended up being an 11 day cruise. We were picked up by the Conquest. They welcomed us on board like we were Royalty. Fortunately for Monday’s return, it was Memorial Day. I was back on the job Tuesday as planned.

I definitely feel being docked at the Port when the fire started was a plus. There was no panic. Safety protocols are in need of attention. We never heard the alarm that should be sounded. We asked other Guests and did not either.

Appreciate your feedback. Sorry you had a poor experience with guest service but happy it was resolved properly. Glad you enjoyed your cruise otherwise.
