Review summary

Fun time as always, even though it caught on fire.

Embarkation

We had priority boarding so made our appointment for 10:30. Arrived at 10:35 and were told we needed to get in the line for people arriving at the wrong time because we had a child under 12 and they needed to be checked off the exemption list and be tested for covid. We explained he was vaccinated and we already had a negative test and completed our verifly. Didn’t matter. Got to the other line and they told us he still needed to be tested. Waited about 15 minutes until we made it inside and then asked someone doing the priority check in and they had us come over and fixed it. Frustrating start to the trip but everyone after that was very nice and accommodating.

Food and Dining

Food was decent. Service was always good. Long lines for pizza and burgers almost the entire time.

Onboard Activities

Carnival always has lots of activities. Had fun at most things we did but we were turned away from cornhole one day bc they had too many people playing. Also got to a raffle 2 minutes late but before the drawing and weren’t allowed to enter but the next show people were allowed to enter 45 minutes late. It’s whatever but if they set a standard it should be followed.

Enjoyed the comedy shows we made it to and the games in the theater.

Ship Quality

Ship was really nice. Had some issues in the room after the funnel caught on fire but not upset. Just little things like the closet light and hair dryer quit working, the fridge stopped cooling, and the air in the main room couldn’t keep the room cool.

Cabin / Stateroom

The captains suite was nice. Plenty of room and loved the balcony.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5

Had priority debarkation but didn’t need it. People were getting off before we were even supposed to meet for priority so we casually finished breakfast and headed down. Walked straight off the ship and only had a little wait through customs.
