Quite an adventure with the fire on the ship. Thank God we were not in open waters when it happened. Carnival tried their best to be accommodating for the inconvenience that happened to us.

The wheelchair assistance was very helpful. Thank You Bill and Sean. Having all the proper paperwork ready made boarding easy.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
The food was good BUT when we transferred to the Conquest the food was excellent! Apparently, because they were short on staff, places like my favorite, the Deli, did not open until 3:30 pm, which of course made for a long wait and line. The pizza was good with very thin crust. On the Conquest it was SO garlicky I could not eat it.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
We used the pool and hot tub on the aft. Only one hot tub was open the whole time but the one that was working was nice. After the fire only half the lounge chairs were available to use because of ash blowing in that area. The deck boards were SO hot you could not walk on them with bare feet.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The shows we went to were good. The comedians, not so much.
Children's Programs
Did not have children with.
Service and Staff

Tapa, our room steward on the Freedom, was excellent! She made my bed SO comfortable and made sure we had everything we needed. She was also very friendly. When we moved to the Conquest Su was also great. Our waiters were excellent! Moon and Henry on the Freedom and Amy and John on the Conquest were Super! Also, the waiters at breakfast were very accommodating and friendly. Guest services was helpful and patient with all the craziness happening.

Cabin / Stateroom

Tapa made my bed very comfortable and kept the cabin very clean. Very dark (good for sleeping) on the Freedom. On the Conquest there were motion sensor lights that came on under the closets which made it nice getting up during the night.
Ship tip
Make sure you wear some sort of footware around the pool areas.
