Review summary

Overall this cruise was one to remember forever. Before the fire it was going excellent. The day of the fire was scary of course but the crew handled it perfectly…however many passengers including myself didn’t get a knock on our door to notify us about the ongoing emergency and the announcements were hard to hear from inside the rooms. I had to go out to one of the hallway muster guides to ask what was going on when I was told to report to our muster stations. During the emergency the crew handled all of us and the situation as they should when we were heading to our assigned stations and while we were waiting at our lifeboat areas. After the emergency and while we were stuck in Grand Turk we had a fully functioning ship except the fact it couldn’t set sail and we got to spend a day and half extra on the ship and Grand Turk. The Conquest arrived around 4pm and the transfer was easy onto that ship. Always wanted to try a back to back cruise so that was a definite plus. Overall regardless what happened the whole trip was amazing and an unique experience of a lifetime.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Out of the six cruises the food was good.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Activities are basic. Few pools, couple slides, hot tubs, adult only deck, fitness center, spa. All were great.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Musicians and DJs were great. Always a great time watching The Love and Marriage Show. James Love our cruise director was amazing!

Children's Programs

Don’t have kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Loved our room steward Christopher. All staff were excellent especially when it came to the fire that broke out onboard.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The design is timeless. The Conquest class ships are nice in design, easy layout, clean and well-maintained…besides what caused the fire lol but on a more minor note, rust was pretty evident in a lot of exterior places. But for a ship built in 2007, it’s in really good shape.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We don’t prefer insides in less the price is unbeatable, but it was good. This particular cabin was most forward on deck 1 and only had one cabin next to it in its own little pocket corner so it’s quiet when it comes to noisy passengers. Only two issues. Only time it’s not quiet is when the waves are thrashing against the bow and when the stewards are coming out to clean the rooms with their carts because their quarters are next to this room. Loved our room steward Christopher!

Ship tip

Watch out for the funnel lol.
