The food was flavorful in the main dinning. The port day breakfast is the best, the selections are plentiful & the chefs during those days obviously enjoy them best because they throw-down like they are beating Bobby Flay on those days.

The activities were fun & exciting even though the fun squad made up some rules as we played we still enjoyed the activities for the most part.

Overall the entertainment was good although cheating like professional referees is annoying especially during the game show.

1st time I’ve had waiters scold me & my family, think my order was a joke & not bring the food & completely not provide a place setting until we loudly complained for one guest in our party. Our room steward was nice but thought it was good practice to not change our linens & towels & just ignored our requests for certain items. Consulting Guest services was a waste because they just “listened” documenting part of our complaints & then told us they’d investigate & never did. However the maitre’ d did assign us to a better wait staff & checked on us personally throughout the remainder of our cruise.
Ship Quality

I loved the design with the exceptions of the Statue of Liberty heads, those were creepy in the buffet area. However the Carnival Freedom is one of the best looking cruise ships I’ve ever seen. It is old school luxury at its finest. Exactly what a cruise ship should look like.
Cabin / Stateroom

It fit 3 well, spacious, & comfy. We enjoyed the usb charging docks & the fridge being more then just a glorified cooler. The surface clean was adequate.
Ship tip
Take your patience, note your complaints & speak up about them immediately. If they fail to fix your problems don’t hesitate to adjust your tips.
I love Galveston however they need to fix that gangway ASAP or offer cruisers something other then a smile & an i’m sorry for the inconvenience. Fans would be nice & ice water.
Quick & with little incident. Used a porter for faster service & customs was efficient & fast. Outside patrol wasn’t paying attention & caused more traffic & congestion than necessary but overall disembarkation was good.
