Review summary

As first timers, I had read everything I could find to prepare us.....for the ship, ports and just the cruise experience itself. We loved the ship. We did not pre-plan any excursions as we just wanted to explore each port to see what we could see...and that's just what we were able to do. The cruise experience was beyond our expectations! We would be quite happy to simply sit on a deck and watch the water, the people and just relax! Maybe that makes us a pretty boring couple!

You got the right attitude. We found that it was the getaway and are content with taking few excursions which most are rushed and appear to just give the tourist something to see. However some are very worthwhile and a good history lesson. We don't do the beach and water thing as we live in Florida and do that a lot of the time. We enjoy just getting off ship and going in town see a few shops, have dinner and and a leisurely trip back to the ship.

Great job! It's all about what you make it. After 12 cruises the 13th we took a break from the excursions and just enjoyed the ship and ports. It was great!

Nope, that makes you a couple who knows how to relax and enjoy one of the best vacations ever. I think many people try to do too much, especially on their first cruise. Sounds like you didn't fall into that trap. Glad you had a great experience!
