Carnival Freedom Cruise Review to Caribbean - Western
It was nice to get away and enjoy the Caribbean,if you did not have to deal with some of the ship's management. After waiting two hours in the ho;ding area we were allowed on board. In our room we found that the toilet did not work,Our room steward was great and came right down.He called maintenance but no one showed up.After 3 hours and 3 phone calls we left for dinner, returned to find the toilet working.
My wife bought the "Bubbles" drink package. We found that each time she asked for the coke to be left in the can,she was charged $2.88.I talked to a costumer service lady who told me that the mgr would call me.He never did.The costumer service personnel need costumer relations training.
My wife looked forward to exercising and sitting in the steam room. The steam room was broken, and would not get fixed until the end of cruise, with a part in Galveston. Why could not have the part waiting for us in one of the ports?
The buffet food was good but the dinning room just O.K.Several times those in my group did not eat their main course.
The pool area on the Lido deck was a continual party and those there were having a great time with loud Rap music, but I would not recommend this for anyone over 40.
To top it off, when deplaning,we rode down the elevator. The ship lost power and the elevator came to an abrupt halt, stopping us between floors. There is no direct phone in the elevator and the call button would not work with the power out!!
