Review summary

I would have rated this cruise higher but I am a little disappointed in Carnival.  My wife came back sick and I feel it is because Carnival has chosen to not encourage passengers to use the sanitizers.  This is my 3rd cruise on a Carnival ship.  The sanitizers are available but without crew reminding or strongly encouraging people to use them the passengers ignore there use.  I have sailed twice before on Princess and their policy has been to ask people to use these and we didn't have a problem.  I know this might seem petty but she got an awful cold half way through the week and it really put a damper on our fun.  Other than that it was enjoyable and Cruise Director Malcolm was the best I have ever seen.  The man was like the energizer Bunny everywhere and doing everything.  He was hoot.  Crew was friendly and ship was clean and food too good, if you know what I mean.

Entertainers are really great

Service and Staff

The Head waiter in the Posh was a dick and we moved to another dining room and found the wait staff there much better. Our waiter in the Chic was super and we really enjoyed the service after we moved.

Being in nursing, a cold takes about two weeks incubate, it is very likely she was already infected before she boarded the ship.

For all you know she could of been infected with the cold before she boarded the ship..Also possibly not even a cold maybe just a change in weather climate.

Do you need us to start you a gofundme page?? Good grief.

How can you blame Carnival for your wife getting a cold. I think it's up to you and your wife to wash your hands and to be sanitary.

I, as a nurse, take blame if I get sick from my job. It's not because my patients didn't wash their hands. It's because I didn't wash mine or I didn't use sanitizer as instructed! Off my soapbox now.

They didn't remind me to take a shower and flush the toilet

I always take probiotics, especially before and during a cruise. I can't expect everyone to be as cautious and sanitize. So I use sanitizer and antibacterial hand wipes and hope for the best! I've never gotten sick thankfully. :)

You know what you are right. Carnival didn't remind me or encourage me to wipe my butt after I went. They owe me for new underwear. Grow up and take responsibility.

I don't think it is fair to "blame" carnival for you as an adult not being encouraged to sanitize. To me that would be like having to encourage you to wash your hands after a restroom visit.

Malcolm IS the best for sure!
