Review summary

We highly enjoyed this our first cruise and expected to do more cruises in the future. The staff and crew of carnival ferenzi were quite wonderful and made our experience One way hope to repeat. There were several onboard experiences that we did not try, and look forward to enjoying next time.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
In vacation was smooth and easy, The crew and port personnel handled the large volume of people quickly and efficiently. We were able to relax on bored with a cold drink and enjoy a hot tub until we left portThe crew and port!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We particularly enjoyed our meals at the Michael Angelo restaurant the food was excellently prepared and delivered to us by cheerful and friendly wait-staff. Once we discovered the ability to make Reservations on the app dining at my calendelo became very easy. Our meals eaten on the lido buffet were also quite good though we would have enjoyed some more variety in the breakfast servings. The burgers from guys were quite good and it's very popular get in line early! The pizzas on the little deck are also a wonderful snack we enjoyed frequently. We were disappointed that we never had an opportunity to eat in the Medichi Restaurant.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We took advantage of the hot pool and the water slides on the first 2 days. After that we found the pools very small and often overcrowded. We did enjoy the game area particularly the football table and we had fun in the casino on a couple of occasions.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The ship's entertainment was very enjoyable. The musical shows were highlight of our evenings. We particularly enjoyed the chance loop engag one-on-one withh some of the performers after the show.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The ship's stewards and wait staff went out of their way to make sure we were enjoying our stay, and that all of our needs were seen too. They always made a conscious effort to smile and say hello.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Firence is a brand new ship and it seems to be very well-designed is obviously clean and taken good care of by the crew and staff.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our cabin was very comfortable and roommate for the 2 of us. We appreciate the apple closets and draw space to unpack our 1st day and then be able to quickly find our clothes when we wanted to change. Our Stuart was always on hand when we needed anything and kept the room gorgeous we loved his towel art! My wife enjoyed the port window it was large enough for her to curl up in with a book and enjoy the light on sea days.

Ship tip

Be sure to make use of the carnival hub app to plan your days activities!

Ports of call

Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

4 out of 5
Cabo San Lucas seem like a wonderful port. Unfortunalty not having booked an excursion through the ship we were the last to get off onto a water shuttle, an only had a few hours in port. This meant we were limited to a small area of port where the vendors and merchant prayed upon the Cruise ship passengers. I feel it would have been a much more enjoyable visit if we'd had 7 more hours or perhaps even anovernight stay in port.

Ensenada, Mexico

4 out of 5
International was a much more enjoyable port of call as we were able to exit the ship early enough to enjoy a full day in encinada though we did not feel we had the same attraction available there as we might have enjoyed in Cabo.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We chose the option of Express disembarkation carrying our own luggage off. We found it very smooth and efficient and we're surprised how quickly we got through customs and back to our car.
