Loved the cruise. Took some dear friends that haven’t cruised before together. I believe they enjoyed every minute of it.
Embarkation
5 out of 5
It was easy and took about 10 minutes
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Main dining room was good. Food was about the same as you will find on all of the other carnival ships.
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
There is not much as too on board actives.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
Shows were ok. Being we had a lot of ports I think they don’t plan much.
Children's Programs
No kids with us.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Wait staff was better than most. Room
Stewart was good. And most of the ships personnel was very polite. The photo staff took extra time to make sure you had the best pose they could get.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
It is an older ship but looks to be maintained well.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
The suite has a bath tub instead of shower. The water pressure was amazing. They had the cabin laid out in the best configuration possible.
This use to be my favorite designation. But has been down graded. Do the the recent hurricanes and the lack of repair. I believe it need a face lift. Good shopping but is dirtier than I remember
Loved this port and want to go back ASAP We went to the volcano. It was a long car ride but very much worth it. The island is very pretty and the local people were nice.
The taxis are everywhere but some of the drivers are rude and too aggressive. Interview a couple. And make sure it’s the one you will be with not just a spokesman for another drive. Be aware of the condition of the car and make sure it passes your requirements before making a deal. Some cars are too big and they stuff to many people in. So make sure. The island is very pretty. And the local people are ok as long as you are spending money.
Taking same cruise in January. Sounds like you plan your own excursions. Did you purchase any worthwhile excursions and if so which ports? Just seeking some advice for a 50 year old couple
