Overall the cruise was average. I would do a carnival cruise again if they were going somewhere i wanted to go and the price was right but I wouldn't actively seek it out. I liked some of comedian shows were fun any what we looked forward to (except the last comedian- explained above) Food lines were long but once we figured out you could get breakfast at the burger and burrito places it made breakfast more pleasant. I would prefer more "kid friendly" options for food as my kiddos have no interest in French food etc. that was served.
Our highlight of the trip was Brittney and Maddie from the fun squad. You can tell they both LOVE their jobs which was fun and refreshing. I got to know Maddie a little on an excursion and she is truly a lovely person. #maddieforcaptain #herefishyfishy

paid for unlimited soda without knowing we would be charged again for a cup and for taxes each time we got a drink. Buffet was not good, lines were always very long and the food was not food that my kids would eat.
Onboard Activities

never went in the pool because it was always overly crowded and there was standing room only. wasn't aware the pool closed early the last night on the ship. waterslides were fine. golf balls were too light and blew around with the wind.
Entertainment

we enjoyed the PG comedian nights for the most part. Macsio was very funny and our entire family really enjoyed him-- one of the best parts on the boat! however-- Sam was racist. He discussed how we should be aware of our "white privilege" he kept talking about how white people have it so much easier than black people. None of this was funny, or necessary. I told my children to stop paying attention because they didn't need to listen to this crap!
Maddie from the fun squad and Brittney the cruise director were both amazing!
Service and Staff

waiters always seemed tired and angry. only spoke to one who was very nice but they mostly all seemed not happy.
We had Rapheal for our room steward. He was always pleasant and attentive. we had a flooding issue in our bathroom that he dealt with immediately. could not have been happier with him!
Ship Quality

it was VERY confusing trying to figure out how to get off the ship. we finally learned but we got very frustrated and ran into many other people who also could not figure out how to get down to the 3rd floor and to get to the correct elevators- more signs would be nice. Ship was always kept clean and always saw people cleaning.
Cabin / Stateroom

LOVED our room. Balcony was great. room size was what I had expected. no problems.
we did the hike snorkel and kayak tour. seemed to be run by young people. Main tour guide was good but the rest just screwed around and didn't seem super caring or attentive
was a bit of a cluster getting onto an elevator since they were being used for suitcases. many people were standing around for elevators that never seemed to come so we finally wandered around until we found a set of elevators that were working.
You don’t have to pay for another cup each time. You bring the travel cup and get it refilled. Or just in a regular cup...never charged unless you ask for another travel cup.
