Review summary

7 day Caribbean Cruise departing from San Juan with our family of 4. Daughters 16 and 18. There was good food, but it could have been better. The service however was excellent. A few of the destinations were disappointing. Antigua for the local sales pressure and St. Maarten for the devastation to the island that experienced that basically destroyed much of the island.

Entertainment was average, the cruise director MarQ was excellent however. His enthusiasm and fun was contagious. He led an 80's trivia night and singing that was a blast.

Did a snorkel with turtles that was excellent. Sailboat was nice, Captain Mike and Jess were so professional and were great guides for all of it. Favorite experience of the whole trip.

St. John's, Antigua

very aggresive locals trying to sell services and goods. Followed you and persisted even when said no several times. Big turn-off that they should address and manage as it is hurting their tourism business. Didn't want to shop there because of it.

Bridgetown, Barbados

visited a beach resort for the day. Was by far the most beautiful beach I've ever seen. Very fine white sand, clean and crystal clear blue water.

Excursion was a catamaran tour that included a sail to remote part to view a botanical garden, lunch and a short stop at a beach for swimming and snorkeling. Overall liked the excursion but compared to an earlier excursion in St. Thomas on a sail boat, the staff and crew were far less professional and organized. I felt as if there were almost no safety procedures in place for guests during the trip and especially for the persons who choose to snorkel. They were given gear and told to depart to the beach and go to the ROCKs. no supervision or guidance for snorkelers.

Basseterre, St. Kitts

went on Zipline excursion - was good, but short.

very disappointed in the accessible island tour. It was $80/pp with no lunch. just rode around in a bus that had 8 seats but there were 10 people attending. My two teen-aged daughters took turns sitting on the floor of the bus since no other seats were available. $80pp was not appropriate value, didn't even include lunch, should have been priced at about half that for the value. Also the take-away from the tour guide was they lost everything and you could see that - it was nearly all demolished, very sad.

Our cruise was from June 10-June 17th with no sea days. MarQ was our cruise director as well and he was excellent, the food was delicious (we only ate buffet twice and decided Sensations dining room was a better fit for us). Antigua locals were too pushy. Glad you still had fun despite some of the cons.
