Review summary
The Fascination was my 4th Carnival cruise and the worst. The food was mediocre, smaller ship so pool was small, and entertainment was less than entertaining. Worst part was that 3 days of the cruise my shower back flowed sewage into the bathroom. This occurred in a handful of rooms and made the whole floor smell like sewer. To top it all off, initial offer to make it right was the upgraded $20 value steak dinner to which I declined, then $75 in photography, again I declined, and finally $120 in excursion reimbursement. Really?!? Hardly compensation for almost half of the cruise dealing with a backed up shower and sewage. This lack of real concern by Carnival has made me really consider if I ever want to give Carnival my business again. This situation was a huge health hazard and they offered a steak dinner as compensation. Think twice before using Carnival or at least the Fascination--which we called the "garbage barge" for the duration of our trip.
