Review summary

I have to be honest I really feel Carnival can easily step up their game and be a better cruise line by implementing better food choices,  better quality of buffet food and open times.  While embarking was made easy luggage didn't arrive til very late.  Disembarking could be better by delivering a detailed letter to each cabin as over head announcements are hard to hear.  During this cruise all the excursions were very generic at best and Costly for what you got.  The shows I believe there were only two "real" shows.. the other  just game show variety or comics..  Drinks were weak and too $$, and beverage package ridiculously expensive.  We found the busing of tables around the pool and in lido deck was poor and often had to bus our own tables to get a spot.  The crew was friendly enough  and nice but it was obvious they were exhausted.

We chose the cruise because of the  ports and dates..  We would have  used a different cruise line for sure if the dates and ports worked out.  I think the price for our cruise for all the extras we paid for and all in all was way over priced...

but might be considered a good deal if quality of everything was a few steps up.

Probably wont cruise Carnival ever again.

for two people you should not give them a cabin with bunk bed options.. My husband kept hitting his head as it sticks out into the bed and hardly any room to walk around bed to get to balcony. Might as well of not had a balcony on this ship. Other balcony rooms we had had a couch and ample room. We felt cramped.

Ship tip

don't expect a big ship. very small pool. Water slides for kids was great.. so this might be a better ship for families with kids... Don't expect top notch service or food quality. This is a medium grade cruise as far as the ship part is concerned. No big frills.

Agree they should step up their game some what, but they are trying to increase their revenues and the more drinks they sell the more revenue the ship make and they sure do sell alcoholic beverages.

Cruising is what you make of it. We don't have high expectations. We're on vacation for God's sake!! Make the best of every cruise. If your negative Nelly, then I'm sure it's not just the cruise your griping about in life

This was the best cruise ever. One cannot find a better itinerary. It was extremely well priced. 500 per person and our sail and sign card was about $200 each. We booked two excursions $125 per person and the rest we explored on our own at minimal cost. Would do this cruise again in a heartbeat

I agree 100% with debbiedenise58- they should never cruise Carnival again. It seems that it was one unhappy note after another from the time they embarked until they disembarked. From the looks of the profile, this was their only cruise, Good luck to them finding a cruise line that can measure up to their scrutiny... Best way to cruise is to embrace the joy and disregard the minutia...

Going on this cruise in November, done the same ports on two previous ships,Celerbrity Horizon and Carnival Miracle, don't care about the shows too much or drinks, the ports are more important on my cruise ( this will be my 26 Th cruise on almost every cruise line)
