Review summary

the convenience factor was the main reason for choosing this cruise. The Charleston cruise port leaves something to be desired, but it was within driving distance. The cruise itself was ok. The Fantasy is showing its age and if it was refurbished two years ago as indicated by the travel agent they didn't do a very good job.

That being said, the cabin steward and our head waiter were excellent. The cabin was always clean and the service in the Celebrity dining room was wonderful. I would give the food a "B" as to taste and variety. I would give the entertainment a "B-". The pool was always crowded and it is small. I doubt I would take this cruise again on this ship.

You have to continuously check, usually weekly, for the price of your cruise online. It'll sometimes drop in price and if you are booked under "early saver" you are able to submit a price reduction form. If you have a balance due it comes off that amount. If the cruise is paid off, they apply the difference in price to your on board credit account.

How do you check?

where do you find credits???

First of all never book through a travel agent. U get the same prices booking online yourself. Plus, if you do your research and book early saver options, when the price drops u can get the difference in on board credits. I'm sailing on the Fantasy on 8/15 and I have over 400 dollars in on board credits. Just some tips for the future...hope your next one is great!

The carnival website says that the ship was refurbished in 2007 just a heads up! ☺️
