If you’ve never been to the Bahamas try not to have high expectations and you’ll probably enjoy it. Half Moon Cay is amazing but the tender process is a pain in the butt. Worth it once all that is over with. We were not particularly impressed with Nassau and others did not seem to be either.

Unless you like smoke and Noisy kids and people, Dont sail on carnival. It reminded me of a wal-mart at sea. Self-indulgent people with no care for anyone else or any care for themselves. Royal Carribean is MUCH better. you really see why they can charge an extra 100 bucks per person on thier boats.

We loved the back of the boat where our room was but if you don’t want to do a lot of walking book a cabin mid ship.

Carnival Elation was our first cruise overall experience was really great just wished they offer more variety of food. And buffet remaining open would be help they would close around 3 and open back around 6

The ship was ok. The cabin on the other handle d was unbearably hot. We couldn’t rest well. It was so warm that I slept with a cold rag on my forehead and would wake up often!! The refrigerator never got our drinks cold. We were told it is not like our refrigerator at home when we complained. So I assume a refrigerator is just a storage box for drinks.

The Cheers package is very worth it. Pay for anything possible before you leave, it makes for a worry free cruise. Our friends did not pay before and they had a large bill when leaving the ship, where as my husband and I did not.

Don’t take children to the shows. Be prepared to deal with nasty people at guest services. Don’t even bother eating in the dining rooms.
