The staff was in an incredibly good mood all the time. They were constantly smiling and joking and absolutely NEVER acted bothered to do something for you. The staterooms were immaculately clean - no dust anywhere. I liked the entertainment; a few comedic shows and a few hypnotist shows and dance instead of all dance and musical shows. The food was great - I had fish every night and there was sushi available every day. We also had coffee delivered to the room each morning to drink while we got ready for the day.

The Elation was a very well cleaned ship. It had comfortable sleeping quarters and very professional working crew.

Everything was perfect; Staff - Captain a warm and friendly welcoming man, Maitre D' Yosef bent over backwards to please, waiters excellent and room stewards great. The cruise director was the best one we ever had the pleasure to sail with. The shows were very musical with wonderful choreography and great costuming. Grand Turk was a great place to stop and Half Moon Cay was absolute paradise, especially the tender service rendered to and from Half Moon Cay. Can't wait to go again, oh how could I forget the Food! MMMMM!

The ship was clean. Dining room food was great, wonderful presentation and staff. Buffet wasn't opened early enough for dinner and food was average. Staff was great, especially steward:our child threw up all over the bed and he came promptly (it was after his normal hours) and cleaned the bed off and replaced the linens. Spa staff was pleasant. Ports of call were wonderful, tender staff was fast & efficient. We loved the putt-putt golf and ping pong tables.

We had such a wonderful time! The crew and all the ship's workers were absolutely fabulous....everyone was courteous, friendly and helpful. Our entire experience was straight out of a tropical story book! This was our third cruise (our first was with Carnival, our second with Royal Carribean and now we've returned to Carnival) and you would think that by now the thrill of cruising would be subsiding somewhat.....absolutely not....each experience is like a first! We love it!

This was my first cruise experience. My husband, 2 children ( 3 years old ), and my mother came. It exceeded my expectations. The cruise ship was incredibly clean and the staff was extremely accomodating and friendly. The food was wonderful with plenty of options. I especially liked that there was a lot of "healthy" options too! I used the fitness room in which the equipment was state of the art, and had beautiful views of the ocean. Camp Carnival was very good and although we put the kids in for only 2 hours or less a day, they seemed to really enjoy it. The excursions were beautiful ( I especially enjoyed the beaches at Grand Turk and Half Moon Cay ). The glass bottom boat ride was a waste of money, though. The elation dancer shows were really professional and the kids also loved them. All in all a wonderful experience and our family would recommend it to anyone.

Our 3rd Carnival cruise. This ship was good, just smaller than the others taken. Crew was seen doing an overall good job of cleaning, etc. Crew were friendly and funny. I especially enjoyed the humor of the Captain and our dinner servers. Food was good but not as good as other trips. Would still sail with Carnival..........

The ship was smaller than some that I have cruised on, but the service and food were as good as any.The beaches at Grand Turk and Half Moon Cay were excellent.

We sailed on the Elation. We had a wonderful time on the ship. This was our first cruise we do not have anything to compare it to. But we would definitely take another cruiese. We really enjoyed ourselves. The housekeeping crew were fabulous. The entertainment was wonderful. The only thing that could have improved was the food was cold in the dining room and at the breakfast buffet, in the Tiffany's dining area.

Very clean and friendly

My boyfriend and I sailed on the Carnival Elation on February 17th 2006 from Port Cananveral. The ship itself was very nice. The rooms were confortable everything was very clean and as spacious as you can get on ship. The staff was very accomidating and always very nice and right there to get you anything that you needed. Unfortunately the weather was not very good and the first two days of the trip the boat was so rocky that half of our dinner table counldn't get out of the bed to make it to dinner because they were so sea sick. The entertainment on board was good. The most unfortunate part of our trip was when we arrived at Turks and Caicos and got off the ship to find out that all of the excursions were cancelled because of the "bad weather" which turned out to be a beautiful 85 degree sunny day. Overall I would rate this trip as ok. There were some nice things about it but we had to make an effort to make the best of it. After having previously cruised with another company I have made the decision not to cruise with Carnival again.

very good, I would take this cruise again

Two adults and two teenage boys for a five night Bahama cruise had an excellent voyage! It was well worth the effort of getting to the Port Canaveral from a major snowstorm (30 inches) the day we left home we were literally shoveling a path out our driveway in upstate New York. Unfortunately, the snow was still here on our return. I have never before seen these two boys exhausted til the point they were in bed at 10 PM on two nights! It is very relaxing on the ship knowing that you can let them go off and not worry about where they are.... We all were awe struck at the Halfmoon Cay stop. I have never seen a beach so nice and pictures do not do it justice; you have to see it in person (again). Our snorkeling excurison at Grand Turk was cancelled due to weather and we got stuck for a $40 five minute cab ride/tour of the island, the Halfmoon Cay had a stingray snorkeling excursion in an enclosed pen on shore that lasted only half hour in the water, and the Nassau stop was an enjoyable tour with a stop at Cabbage Beach where the boys rode 8 foot waves non-stop for two hours until we dragged them out to leave. This is our third cruise. The previous two were with NCL lines on Majesty. This Carnival Elation Ship is far superior to the NCL Majesty (bigger and newer) with larger bath/shower which is important. The food was very good to excellent, also a little better quality than NCL cruise. The service was very good on both NCL and Carnival.

This was our first cruise, so we didn't know what to expect. But we had a wonderful experience. It exceeded all our expectations. The ship was beautiful, clean and our cabin was large and roomy. There was a place for everthing. The staff was so friendly. Our wishes were their comand. My wife needed her insulation keep on ice, the cabin boy filled the ice bucket every morning and night to ensure that it was at the right temperature. The shows were outstanding. I would compare them to those you would see on Broadway. The costums were just beautiful. The midnight buffets were sights to be hold. Our waitress(s) each night were very friendly and really made our eating experience better than some very high class restaurants at home. Everything was first class and my wife and I had no comlaints. It was an experience to remember.

The ship was great. There were plenty of activities. The food was great. The room was nice.

it is a wonderful ship. we never felt crowded, everything was clean, neat and the staff was execellent and always friendly. the decor is fantastic and the lay out of the ship was wonderful - it made it easy to find your way around the ship.
