Loved the organized way of embarking and disembarking.......painless...and the availability of food on the Lido deck at both times was wonderful and mood elevating. The staff were available, friendly and helpful at all times. The entertainment was appropriate and enjoyed by grandma, 20 yr. old grandson and 10 yr. old graddaughters.

It was very hard to get a good breakfast, how do you screw that up? Dinner was just OK, and on board pizza and buffet was decent.

Just boarding the Carnival cruiser differed from the ordinary ..and being able to browse at the ubiquitous feeding stations, wander forward and aft to events and shows ,,, often as the mood struck, as opposed to planned, reserved, and routed,,,was a welcome vacation from the ordinary.

THE SHIP WAS VERY NICE, I WAS ON THIS SHIP ABOUT 10YEARS AGO, EVERYTHING WAS NICE AND CLEAN, THE FOOD WAS VERY GOOD, ALL OF THE ENTERTAINMENT WE ENJOYED.

We had a wonderful time on our 3 day cruise. The boat was lovely, the activities plentiful, the food delicious!! We did have poor service at dinner the first day, but it improved greatly after that. The only problem we had was that smoking was everywhere on the boat. There wasn't any place on the boat to escape to except our room where we weren't surrounded by smoke. There were supposed to be smoke-free areas (but it wasn't enforced) however, those areas very few, so on our day out to sea, we wound up getting alot of second-hand smoke and headaches.

We Have cruised on the Elation many times from different ports. its like our home coming ship. It always is comfortable and we always bring back good memories where ever the ship goes.

The ship was huge, not cramped at all. Plus it was kept clean. There are many places to just sit or stand and relax.

Overall, great! An excellent time to relax by the pool and enjoy a friend or significant other's company. Would not recommend for kids, as there were a lot of drunk partiers on the boat.

We had a great time on the Elation! it was reasonably priced, but service and food was the same as a more expensive ship. Our family had a great time. The kids thought the pool was a little chilly and weren't fond of the salt water, but the games and relaxing in the sun were enough to keep them happy.

Relaxing and yet it is entertaining.

IT WAS MY PARENTS' 60TH WEDDING ANNIVERSARY EARLY THIS YEAR AND MY BROTHER AND MY SISTER-IN-LAW'S 60TH BIRTHDAY THIS YEAR ALSO AND AS A PRESENT I GAVE THEM THIS CRUISE TRIP. OTHER FAMILY MEMBERS JOINED US AS WELL AND EVERYONE HAD A GOOD TIME. OVERALL, I WOULD SAY NOT ONLY WAS THIS THE LEAST EXPENSIVE GIFT FOR THE OCCASSION BUT THE FUN AND THE MEMORIES THAT WE HAD WILL ALWAYS BE IN OUR HEARTS. ALREADY WE ARE PLANNING FOR A REPEAT CRUISE NEXT YEAR BECAUSE OF THE WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE WE'VE HAD IN THIS CRUISE. THE STAFF WERE ALWAYS NICE AND FRIENDLY, THE FOOD WAS GREAT AND THE ENTERTAIMENT WAS ACTUALLY FABULOUS. I'VE BEEN TO SEVERAL CRUISES IN THE PAST BOTH INTERNATIONAL AND LOCAL AND I'D SAY THIS WAS ONE OF THE BEST. THANK YOU CARNIVAL ELATION STAFF AND CREW, YOU ARE AWESOME.

We have been on many carnival cruises, and even though Carnival staff is always great, the staff on this cruise was by far the best - very friendly and accommodating. The ship was very clean and well maintained, even though it's not brand new. There was many activities for all ages and interests. Also, there is now anytime dining as a selection if you don't want to commit to a dining time, which is a nice option to have. Would highly recommend the Elation!

I had a mixed experience my first time out. We were first time cruisers on the Carnival Elation that was supposed to port in Ensenada, Mexico. As one of the first cruises to go out after the Swine Flu news broke, we were a little dismayed at the lack of information Carnival released about their porting plans. Once onboard, we expected the cruise line to somehow "make up" for the fact that we weren't porting in Mexico, but they did nothing. Not a free drink or $5 for the casino - nothing. I always thought you go on a cruise to have everything taken care of for you. We were lucky to get a smile from cruise staff, let alone have someone hold a door for us. All was not lost. We had three or four excellent staff members that took care of everything we asked and the group I was with made the trip a lot of fun.

The cruise was fine. Working with to book the cruise was awful. The web site is not user friendly. It takes forever to reach a live person. When I did reach someone, it took me 45 minutes on the phone to book the cruise. Each time she read back to me the info I had given, she had gotten it wrong, so I had to repeat it for her. After 45 minutes on the phone, she referred me back to the Carnival web site where I had to spend another 30 minutes on lilne entering the same info I had just given the agent. Why bother going through ? A couple of weeks prior to sailing, I called to get some questions answered, and I spent another 45-60 minutes on the phone to and Carnival, just to get simple information. Bottom line: once I was on the ship, everything went smoothly. Making the arrangements was a nightmare. I'll never use again, and I'm leery of Carnival as well.

I would sail again with Carnival, Food is great and the service is excellent

I loved the cruise the service was the best I love. The food is wonderful and I had a great time and felt really safe. Thank you for making our weekend very relaxing and entertaining.

Good condition for an older ship. Wood floors on Lido deck were worn and badly in need of refinishing. The rest of the ship was in surprisingly good condition.

The Ship is well maintanced.
