Review summary

Got on ship and immediately noticed worn out wall and balcony decor in the atrium. Then at dinner in the imagination I noticed the sofa/booths were worn badly. Next one of two atrium elevators was out of order...the entire cruise! Not too convenient for 2000 people, The cabin bathrooms smelled like raw sewage the entire trip. The Piano Bar had horrible entertainment that would make your ears bleed! We were looking forward to it and stayed all of three minutes and had to leave. The all you can eat anytime pizza was always behind and a 10-15 minute wait for pizza was a joke, They seemed understaffed and under equipped with ovens, The positive was the attentiveness of all the staff on board. They were very helpful and super friendly. This includes those cleaning the cabins, the waiters/waitresses, bar tenders, customer service desk folks were awesome. Melessia the host director was terrific! This ship for the money needs to be refurbished with regards to decor etc...

Get one heck of a deal or take another ship or use another company. The Elation has worn out decor, outdated bathrooms, most meals were just so, so.

Lol who are you inspector gadget?? Instead of looking for things to complain about, relax and have fun. Nowhere you go will be perfect. Who cares about sofa booths..there's so much to enjoy on a cruise. Sorry you were focused on the negative. A vacation is what you make of it, hopefully your next trip will be better, just don't sweat the small stuff.

The Elation went thru Dry Dock last September. Just sailed in May and the Imagination Dining room was beautiful. So was the Inspiration dining room. Food was awesome as well as the service.

I hear you djray07, I don’t doubt what you saw bothered you, it’s just that nothing you mentioned bothers my wife and I. We just enjoy our cruise together and don’t look for flaws, such as decor that we don’t like. (We were just on the Elation- thought it was great...) We aren’t in a hurry while aboard (we waited for pizza as well -no big deal). We make our own fun, not expect others to make it happen for us. Sorry you felt disappointed, but maybe you can find something up to your standards. Part of our fun is simply ignoring the negatives and embracing what we like, and we are very happy travelers... Good luck to you on future cruises...
