Review summary

I've been on Carnival many times but this was the worst ship ever. The only reason I gave them two stars is the staff was wonderful. I was in U-17 and the person who cleaned my room was great. I am still sick from the trip and was sick the entire time. This was my moms first cruise and she got sick and is still sick. The ship was moving too fast and the waves was horrible at least the captain could have slowed down until night or left early from the Bahamas but he was behind and rushed and made everyone sick. I don't wont to see this ship again. I don't blame the staff I blame the driver of the ship.

there was a very bad nor Easter that has the ocean very violent. if you were to go on fascination or Elation in the summer or winter it would very likley be different

Elation was an older ship but We loved it! The shower was way bigger than the newer ships. highly recommend this ship.

Hahaha can't "still" be sick... haha maybe you picked up something before the cruise and it took a day to set in and you passed it to your mother along the way but this is a ridiculous review...

Ships only move 20 mph. How is that too fast?

I been on elation twice and going again in 220 day's I have never got sick and have never took anything for sickness I guess I am made to cruise and some people are not

if your mom is still sick she may have another condition that the cruise just enhance her symptoms. my best friend didn't know she had vertigo until after her first cruise. she thought she was still seasick until further testing

We went on our first cruise on the elation Feb of 2017 we enjoyed ourselves so much, then we was told it would be dry docked in Aug/Sept well in 34 days we will be back on the Elation for our 2nd cruise , we loved it

When was your cruise? With all of the recent hurricanes there’s no way for the captain to control the waters!!

We LOVED the Elation last year...she is a smaller ship and you can feel the rocking and swaying but we packed appropriately for a cruise(Dramamine) We really haven't been on a cruise we haven't enjoyed or one where we said we just not cruising....being a positive person Brings in positive results😊

Last time I checked the captain doesn't control the waves. They have ports to get to on time. They have products such as Dramamine and Bonine as well as motion sickness Bands. Next time you cruise consider packing them to avoid it. For your "many cruises" you forgot to pack it appropriately I guess.

You do realize if the seas are rough, the ship will move no matter the speed of the ship. It sounds like you did not take the proper steps to ensure you would not get sick (i.e. Dramamine).
