Review summary

If you are looking for gambling and alcohol this is the place for you!  However we were cruising to spend quality family time together w/ our 13 and 18 year olds. Not enough family shows, not enough activities for older kids besides karaoke. Although, if your children are younger, it did seem like the small kids had plenty of supervised activities to do.

Ping pong tables were always occupied, only about 6 putters available for the mini golf and they were for small children, only 1 basketball and half court on ship and it was always crowded and of course both of the 2 pools were always crowded.  All board games that were furnished in the library were missing pieces and pretty much made it impossible to play.

Most all of the shows interfered w/ dining times.  entertainment consisted of comedy show ( out of 2 comedians w/ 2 show days 1 comedian did same show twice).  1 hasbro game show but interfered w/ late dinner so we had to leave early.  1 rock tribute show but it interfered w/ comedy show and late dining so we missed 1/2 of it as well.  Love and marriage show was funny but it was 18+ so our 13 and 18 yr old children didn't have much to participate in. Poorly planned entertainment and not enough of it.

Our steward kept us stocked w/ clean towels and kept our cabin clean and neat.  the closet door would not close all the way and neither would the vanity mirror in the bathroom.  the room was decent size/manageable.  the windows were so dirty we could barely see out them.  What was the point in paying for ocean view if windows are not cleaned on outside?

The very best Onboard Activity is CHEF'S TABLE. Trust me. It's wonderful, a glimpse of how a gourmet feast is prepared for you. Yeah, some of the Monopoly money was stolen.

We just got off the ship and our family had a blast. Plenty of shows to enjoy and half moon cay made the whole trip. All the staff were wonderful and Kevin the cruise director was awesome. Great family vacay.

I can agree with you, more so than the original post.

I agree. Do not like the elation. The cruise director was not good at all. Still had a good time. Been on other ships. The elation is pretty but the staff and how it is run is not up to carnival standards

Maybe cruising is not for you. The windows get salt water and sea mist on them 24/7/365. Life on the sea! Maybe a higher floor would be better, you were probably near the water on the Rivera or Main level. And the entertainment is plentiful, just need to plan it out. Shows and comedians go on twice so both dining groups can enjoy them. Family comedy is earlier so best for families to do the early dining so they can see them. If you read the daily newsletter you can plan it out and not miss anything.

We were on the Legend in July out of Seattle going to Alaska the kids 14 and 17 didn't want to go to the shows so we decided to sit on lido deck by a widow and play different card games we were able to have good family time and we also were able to watch the wales we were able to bring home wonderful family memories
