Review summary

I was disappointed because our docking activity on Nausau was cancelled because there were not enough people who signed up.  It included a tour to the Gilligan Island set, snorkling and a beach activity. Instead we were forced to walk to a near by beach that was not the best.  Our room attendant Poespo did a great job.  The food was fair at best, especially for the evening meals.  A positive was the adequate size of the room and a window location with a good room location.

Adequate size with a window view. When I turned on the cold water in the bathroom sink it came out warm. The show was spacious and the attendant Poespo did an excellent job. The room was kept clean and well supplied with needed items.

Ship tip

The evening food in the dining area was not very good. I was unable to eat some of the food because it did not appeal to me. The waitresses put on a good show during the dining experience and did a great job. Probably won't cruise on Carnival again.

The private beach excursion was very crowded. We purchased our tickets the night before at $45.00 each and in the morning of they put on a promotion for $19.00 per person to the beach for 1 hour less of time spent there. Had we have known we would have certainly purchased the cheaper ticket.

Make sure you register for your off ship activity the night before. Ours was cancelled due to lack of interest and was a big let down.

As to the food in the MDR...  if you got a dish that did not appeal to you, the waiter would GLADLY bring you a different selection....

The real set was on the island of Kauai in the Hawaiian chain. The island that was seen in the opening credits was the place you are talking about, but they never filmed the show there.
