Review summary

This was a wonderful trip. Carnival does a great job making sure everyone in the family is having fun and feeling pampered. Only negative is this ship is not updated, so your stateroom and pools are quite the look of circa 1990's (clean, but old). If you can look beyond those two things, you will have an amazing trip! Beautiful islands, great staff and overall a very positive experience. I recommend this trip to anyone, just possibly on a newer ship.

I agree the ship is outdated. We just returned from the 5 day. I did this same exact cruise 2 years ago on the fascination which is also older ship and not that I didn't have a good time this time, I had a great time 2 years ago. I found the cleanliness was lacking. Our cabin was always clean but outside there was a lot of garbage and one day we were out on deck and I was leaning on the railing, when I looked at my arms they were all black. I had to go back to my cabin and wash them, it was that bad. The staff was very friendly, always there for you. Bring a hair dryer if you need one. We didn't have one, they were able to find one for me but they said they are doing away with them. I like the smaller ship and the layout, it just needs to be updated. Bring a small extention cord with multiple outlets, there is only one plug in the cabin.

I just want to be clear, I am no way complaining about the quality of my cruise, I have just been on others (newer ships) and had a different expectation when arriving on board. The ship was a fantastic experience! No one will walk away having a great time! Happy cruising in 18 days everyone!

We did the family game nights and that is very interactive for kids and adults, then the comedy club was amazing every time they had it. Some of the 18 and older can be very vulgar so if you are okay with a ton of very adult language, then you'll laugh the whole night. They had some tribute bands (one for the Beatles, another for all 70s & 80's Rock) that did very well and had a great time. They really have something for all.

Us, too. It's odd to hear someone say it's dated circa 1990s. Lol I feel old.

Spent 15 nights in the Elation. Love that ship.
