I will only use this ship for an emergency getaway. The port is close to me, but the price I paid for a single traveler was not worth the fun/not fun I had. If they change ships or itineraries, I will consider using that port/ship. Not until changes are made. Otherwise, it may be a good ship for a first time cruiser.

I arrived after the crowds and didn't wait in line
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
The staff were all nice. The food was mediocre. Nice presentation but not very tasty. Just OK. I didn't starve, but I didn't get seconds.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
The hot tubs were constantly full of kids with pool toys. Only one pool and 2 tubs. The serenity deck had 2 tubs but one was broken. Shops on board were closed for renovation.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
The games and shows are very repetitive of all Carnival ships. I wish they would break out and do something new.
The comedy shows are usually standing room only, so have it in a bigger venue.
Bar service was a little slow during shows. Looked like understaffing.

Service and Staff

All staff in every area I used were very helpful and nice.
Ship Quality
3 out of 5
Ship was clean but it needs some updates. Elevators were slow. Sewage smell in various areas.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
Beds were hard but room was spacious and kept clean.
Love the port but was not told that locals own the chairs/umbrellas on the waterfront. All the other chairs were furnished by Carnival but the fact that they were free and not $30 like the ocean front......was not told to a lot of people. They were led to believe that all the chairs had a cost and were scrambling to get more money or sat on the sand.
Not a fan of ecstasy. It needs to be retired. They did just recently renovate the ship. I personally still wouldn’t sail on her again. My first sailing with ecstasy was good. The second sailing on her was horrible
