Review summary

Overall it was a great First Cruise. Our only suggestion is better disembarkation process for elderly patrons in the Port of Charleston handicapped parking areas.

It was clean, with a very comfortable bed. Our cabin steward was excellent.

We left from there and retrurned there and have visited Charleston many times in the past.

Too much solicitation around the port. We finally found a nice bad to eat and have a beer. We should have taken an excursion, but had not planned on it.

We did take an excursion there and it was so different and interesting. Loved the rural natural areas.

Disembarkation

As we are somewhat handicapped due to aging backs and knees, we used our SC Handicapped parking permit to park in the handicapped lot, assuming it was less walking. Not only did we have to walk a long way, we had to haul our checked luggage all the way from the general unloading area all way over to the handicapped lot. We even had to stand on the shuttle buss to the unloading area. We were totally disappointed with this situation when arriving back in Charleston.
