Review summary

I wouldn't do this to her again it was not geared toward 60 year old lady who doesn't care anything about gambling or bars and I was looking for more stage entertainment some good educational programs and that just wasn't available and I just didn't get that on this.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
Gallito restaurant served low quality food and not appealing not tasty the Wynnsong restaurant was a highlight in was very good the Lido restaurant could be laid out better to make it more efficient to try and use the buffet lines the Lido restaurant also did not have wait staff that would come around and offer refills on drinks that was very rare

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We went to the fitness center had a massage and had an evaluation with the fitness director I would not go back and get another massage it was certainly not worth the $150 it was to be a 75-minute massage the majority of the time was spent on shoulders and back she spend approximately 3 minutes on each foot and each hand she did not give a neck massage her technique on the back and on the legs was to use her forearm as a roller there was never any hand massage or anything like a deep tissue or or tissue massage didn't have to be deep experience at the end of the massage she asked us to sit up and then started giving us a sales pitch which I was paying for a service not to receive a sales pitch

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Only one of the ship's performances was on good and that was the Motown only others were either rated R or they just weren't good shows. the shows always begin at either 8 or 9 at night which was late if you had family that want to see a show the television programs in your cabin started at fix houers at 6 and 9 which if those hours werent convenient you were couldn't even watch a TV movie. there were no educational programs offered like you know an afternoon educational seminar of some sort so I found this area very lacking

Children's Programs

No kids

I appreciate the thorough review. I’m debating booking this cruise and taking my kids. We cruise often. My kids love eating in the MDR, watching the shows in the theater, and watching movies but this ship doesn’t have the big screen out by the pool. However this cruise is the only one the fits my limited time I have with kids’ sports. Recently We have sailed Vista, Harmony, Getaway, Disney Dream, Carnival Dream, Glory. I’m aware that this ship is older, just trying to decide if it’s good enough, I mean it’s still a cruise and we’ll enjoy Nassau and princess cats.

Sounds like you should have done A LOT of research before booking your cruise. My parents are both over 60 and they have a lot of fun on Carnival. We have 4 cruises booked with them next year, in fact.

Rather rude aren't you? The 60 year old in question seems to like adventers of the mind....not party town. I am 70 and love adventure and casinos and have sailed on several different cruiselines including carnival. It was okay and fun but I can see the writers view if the 60 year old prefers something other than partying.

mrkitchen .. what a load of crap...and you know because ?? there are 60 yr olds and there are 60 yr olds .. so what ..we meet some people on our last carnival cruise and had a ball with them .. holland America you know what u can do with that..have had 20 Carnival cruises and one princess cruise .. have been to great places and have amazing memories... Princess cruise most people were gone probably in bed by nine so you can shove that one to....

Oh God😂😂😂 you need Royal Caribbean or Holland America carnival is not for a 60 year old

She needs cruiselines like Princess, NCL,Holland America, etc. Carnival is considered a party boat.
