Review summary
the mandatory safety 'talk' was severely lacking. After a short life vest demo we were herded up to the boat deck and motioned to line up. Nothing was said. After everyone arrived and lined up we were dismissed, with nothing said. What was the point of that? Were you trying to tell us we would line up and board the life rafts?? I don't know, nothing was communicated! This cruise was my first, and for my 50th birthday. Everyone we talked to who has cruised told us to let our cabin steward know. You'll get a give certificate to the spa or something special. My husband told the steward. Her response was 'I'm given a list of people to give these 'gifts' to and you weren't on the list. Most people don't use them anyway'. Shame, because we would have.Embarkation

Ship tip
ask a lot of questions. Ask people who have sailed before. Book excursions ahead of time. Even though the ship 'offers' excursions they aren't really available
