Review summary

Overall great 1st cruise and we enjoyed ourselves immensely; however, the lack of pools and the excursion to Freeport was a huge disappointment. We are looking for another cruise but not on Carnival.

One pool too small and too many kids I was extremely disappointed.

Entertainment

The singing performers were alright a bit off tune and timing but they tried and did something I could never do.

Service and Staff

Adi our room steward WAS FANTASTIC!!! Always a smile and greeted us with our names just all around cheerful!!! Our 815 waiters Mersad OUTSTANDING! He was dancing, remembered our names and our drinks. Joked and laughed with us. Best staff

Adi kept our room emaculate and always ready for us. I love a balcony room. The ability to step outside and view the ocean was exillerating

Ship tip

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

Horrible and have no plan to visit anytime soon. During our excursion the bus driver took us around the island for 30 mins and that was not made apparent in the Sedway listing tour. Then the Sedway was maybe 1/2 hr tour and not around the island. Lunch was OUTSTANDINGbut on the bus ride back we broke down and had to walk 15 mins to another area. Then catch a ride back with another tour to the dhip

Nassau, Bahamas

Excursion was OUTSTANDING but we didn't snuba very long nor snorkeling.

go to rcc and Norwegian and I'm sure you are going to hear complaints also when you have 2 to 4 thousand people on a ship and only have a few complaints not bad enough to make me want to change been on 5 Sept makes 6 no problems yet beats work any day of week

We have had a few cruises with Carnival and Princess... and a couple with Norwegian. We prefer Princess, but that is just our preference.

I agree with all three comments. I love Carnival and have always used Carnival but since I became a travel agent I fell in love with Royal Caribbean and Norwegian Cruise Lines so give them a try also.

Look around for your next cruise. Read reviews from more than one source, search on cruise ship pools - whatever is important to you. Congrats on your first cruise! Now plan and make your second better. Good luck.

We used to always cruise Carnival until we tried Royal Carribean! Now we will never go back! Love RCCL especially the Oasis class ships!
