Review summary

This was a super fun cruise for the whole family. We had 7 young adults (16-22), who absolutely loved it. It was great for them to just hang out and enjoy each other and stay out until the wee hours. It was the perfect blend of casualness with excellent food, beverage, service, and accommodations. It was not pretentious, and all of the other cruisers were clearly just happy to be be there, joyful, and friendly. I was concerned by the price point that quality and service would be compromised, but I did not find that to be the case. It was just an exceptionally value. That is why it exceeded my expectations.

Embarkation

I had faster to the fun pass, which made the experience much better

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We ate in the dining room at the front of the boat every night. The food was great, and the waitstaff were even better.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We had a great time. There always seemed to be something to do at night. During the day there was not much that interested me.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The shows were adorable, and the comedians and magician, and dancing waiters were all a hoot.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
I am awful with names, but I do remember that the bartender, Alex, and his 2 sidekicks were absolutely amazing at their craft. The waiters at the dining room at the front of the boat were spot-on, the maitre'd was excellent and some how recognized us by name after the first day. In fact, lots of people recognized us by name or folio number after a time or two. They were brilliant and made us feel special.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
It was OK. It is an older boat. And while it was clean, it was a little tired looking. The elevators were oddly slow, so we opted for the stairs after the first time on them.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Ot was a balcony aft room, and there was plenty of room and storage. The shower floor looked a little sketchy. I think they just put a rubber matting over another layer of something that rotted. I could feel it under my feet. The room was cool, quiet, and dark with the curtains, perfect for sleeping; which is all we really did there.

Ship tip

Buy the faster to the fun pass

Ports of call

Charleston, South Carolina

I love Charleston!

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

Boring!! It was hot, dry, and desert like. The ship is far away from the the town center, which was dead. The beach is the only thing to do there, and it was too hot for that the day we got there

Nassau, Bahamas

We went to Atlantis, which was way too expensive. I actually had a 22.00 frozen drink served to me poolside. And a 9.00 hot dog! And some of the slides were closed. If I could do it over again, I would explore the cultural aspects of the island.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
I had priority disembarkment with the faster to the fun pass. I knew there was a special place for us to get off, and I asked like 10 different staff members, but no one knew where it was. Partly my fault, I admit, I should have made sure I knew ahead of time, but how could no one else know either? It was on the third floor, I later discovered after I stood in line.
