Review summary

This was a good introductory cruise for the kids.  It's an older boat, but the staff are top-notch, always going above and beyond to make sure you're happy.  The water slides were our favorite part; the pool was the biggest disappointment.  Food was great and the ship is clean.  The only concern was the fact that many of the hand-washing stations ran out of Germ-X midway through the cruise.  That's definitely not good considering how many people are in such a small space.  Overall, I'd recommend this cruise for a family interested in taking their first cruise.

We had one child in Club Penguin and one in the teen O2 program. Both were outstanding.

Pleasantly surprised by the size of the window. We had a king sized bed and a bunk. It was perfect for the three of us.

Ship tip

Bring Germ-X. The cruise ran out. Also, this is a very casual cruise. If you don't want to wait in line at Wind Star or Wind Song, be there at the beginning of your dining time. Otherwise, be prepared for quite a wait. Don't miss out on the kids' clubs. They're top-notch.

We went to Taino Beach (junkanoo). The beach advertises free paddle boarding and kayaking, weather permitting, as well as a water trampoline/activity center. None were available the day we went. Also, a very rocky shore. Wear water shoes.
