Review summary

This is a great itinerary for an 8 day cruise and have done it before and once again we had a great time. Weather was perfect though the water was a little chilly (well for me anyway). Have sailed on The Dream 3 times now and love this ship.

Embarkation

It was busy as usual but all flowed smoothly

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The seaday brunch was just okay and Mongolian Wok was very bland but all other food was good. Buffet had plenty of variety and choices.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
The pools were good and most kids were well behaved.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The stage shows were amazing the cast did an awesome job. The violinists were beautiful and the country guy was really good. (Really bad with names sorry) Had a great time at the Piano Bar.

Children's Programs

Did not travel with children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Waiters were always polite and efficient though a couple of times forgot extras but they remembered after us asking again and apologised. Our room steward Marson was amazing and he did an outstanding job for sure. Our room was always clean and all that we asked for was always there.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
I really like the Dream it's a lovely feel to the ship. They are constantly cleaning everywhere so that was never an issue.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our cabin was very clean always and a 4 person balcony is always a little cramped but we managed well.

Ship tip

The Dream really is a lovely feel ship and not overly large. They do have 2 casinos one on Deck 4 which is the non smoking one. Deck 5 is the main one smoking.

Ports of call

Key West, Florida

5 out of 5
Always enjoy Key West it's a lovely town. Make sure to go to the Key Lime Bakery it's awesome and we did the Parasailing with Fury and it was fun

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

4 out of 5
I like Freeport though the port itself is aging some but we still enjoyed the port shopping. We went out to Banana Bay and it is a lovely beach and the food and drinks were really good. The drinks were definitely heavily poured lol but delicious. It was nice to just be in the water and chill on the beach.

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

5 out of 5
Did not do an excursion. The organisation was not well done. We booked a Clam shell and trying to find staff to help with finding ours was not good. They had us walking up and down the beach and that was frustrating. The water and beacj itself is wonderful and the bbq complimentary lunch they serve is just awesome and truly lots to eat. We had a great day.

Nassau, Bahamas

5 out of 5
The new port that has been built is really lovely and colorful and the shopping was great. A long walk back to the ship though but they did have golf carts for those not able to walk the distance or those with disabilities so that was nice. We did the Catamaran Sail and Reef Snorkel and the staff on board was really great but the reef itself is not that pretty and there were way too many trying to snorkel (3 lots of excursions) so that wasn't a lot of fun. Also the waves were not comfortable to be in and it would have been nice to maybe go to a calmer spot. The catamaran was in good condition and once again the Rum Punch was plentiful and certainly not lacking in rum. They had people up dancing and singing and that was a lot of fun. It was a fun day I just wouldn't snorkel there again.

Disembarkation

It was fast and efficient for us we were off the ship by 8.30.
