Review summary

I do like the Eastern Caribbean cruise it is the third time I have done it, but the main reason is so that I can go to Half Moon Cay. Would love to see a cruise just to HMC and then be able to stay there for a few days and just shuttle back to the ship each day. Always cruise with friends and always have fun. I like the Dream, it is a very friendly warm ship and will certainly sail on her again. Had a great cruise was sad to see it end.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The wait in the main dining room for table service was very slow. Buffets were moving pretty fast and some days the food was awesome, other days the food was okay.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We just had a lot of fun in the pools and love that they are salt water.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The stage shows were awesome. We went to 4 different shows and all of them were outstanding. Also never miss the Love and Marriage show. Our Cruise Director was just great and this show was once again so much fun. The Rock band was really good to sit and listen to. The night club is just the hip-hop and rap so we never go there, don't like that genre of music.

Children's Programs

Do not trevel with children

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
Our room steward was okay but certainly not the best we have ever had (Platinum cruiser and this was cruise #13). He was very friendly and helpful when we asked, but he forgot towels, he forgot wine glasses and forgot our ice so many times. The room was supposed to be made up in the morning routines but a couple of days it was very late afternoon before the room was done which made it difficult to shower and change for the evening.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was c;lean at all times, no matter where you were going or where you were on the ship there was always cleaning in progress and the ship was clean. Some very small maintenance is needed but we go to sail and have fun which is exactly what we did. I really like the Dream, it was my second sailing on her.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The room was comfortable and clean and our room steward did keep it clean when it was attended to each day. The size of the cabin for 4 people is a little crowded but we also spend very little time in the cabin. The beds were comfortable and clean.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

4 out of 5
Been to Galveston many times so we just arrive and go to our hotel go to dinner then back to hotel. We never explore Galveston, the time we arrive doesn't work for us to do anything.

Key West, Florida

5 out of 5
Like the closeness of the port to the ship. Love Key West, we went parasailing and had a wonderful time. Love to explore and shop here, had so much fun

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

4 out of 5
Like the closeness of the port to the ship. Shopping is fun and great prices. Did the Beaches, Caves and Conch Burger excursion. This was a fun excursion and we got to go to two beaches, which were really lovely. Food was excellent (Conch burger was interesting lol). Had a great time

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

5 out of 5
Just love Half Moon Cay, it is my most favorite port. We hired a cabana and this was perfect. The complimentary bbq they provide was excellent and we had just the best day. The water there is just wonderful. I can't say enough about HMC it's just magical

Nassau, Bahamas

4 out of 5
Nassau is one of my least favorite ports. The port is just not nice people most of the time and it's not a port that I feel safe in alone. The shopping is fun but at times very overpriced. We did the Adventuire Jeep, Beach and Local Lunch excursion. Driving around in the jeeps was a lot of fun and our tour guides were awesome guys. The place where we had lunch was nice and the food was great but the people and staff were not particularly friendly or particularly nice. Would not go there to eat if not on this excursion. Sad thing about Nassau is that the local people are just not friendly most of the time.

Disembarkation

It just seems disorganised, but I think this is mainly because you have passengers who just do not listen to instructions and cause the problems which slows everyone down.
