Review summary

we paid our account off to a zero balance before we got off the ship and carnival still charged each our or debit cards we had on file for over 400.00. Called to try to speak to someone, pointless they say we had to send an email and wait 30 days. I still haven't heard from anyone. I will never sail Carnival again.

Debit bank hold yep. Use a cc.

xraymomma    2 years ago

That’s probably a temporary hold. They’re done in amounts of $200 per card and it’s all explained in your cruise documents. The charges will fall off in a few days.

I would call the bank for sure

Sorry this cruise didn’t meet your expectations. How frustrating to still be dealing with this.

Are you sure it wasn’t your bank that placed a hold on the money if you used a debit card? I thought that’s why you’re usually advised to use a credit card
