It was ok but not sure I’d cruise on this ship again. Not really a Carnival fan but hubby is. I suspect it’s the soft serve ice cream lol

Water anywhere BUT the Lido buffet was awful! Even the Steakhouse tasted like water from an aquarium. Buy the bottled water before you go! Food on buffet was ok. Most places close at 2:30 so check times before you go. The bbq is good but only open on days at sea 12-2:30; lines are long but quick. Burgers are meh…crunchy edges aren’t ideal. BlueIguana is open for breakfast and lunch. Husband enjoyed the breakfast! The Steakhouse wasn’t such a great experience. They left us sitting for over 20 minutes without acknowledging us; the table next to us hadn’t got their entrees yet when we finished our appetizers but we didn’t get our entrees until they were finished with dessert. They made it up to is with a bottle of wine and cheesecake to go.
Entertainment

MarQ, the Cruise Director, was fabulous! As was his staff: Lupee, Judy, James and Gabbo! There just wasn’t a lot of variety in the entertainment at night. There were 2 comedians at the beginning of the cruise and 2 different ones at the end; 2 passenger participation games and a variety show. Guess I just remember more activities pre-covid. On the last night, we found the 11pm adults Piano Bar with Brad. Go!! He’s hysterical and ask him to do the horse head song! It’s so wrong but so funny!
Cabin / Stateroom

Never have booked a cabin on the first level but it was great! Our cabin had a large window, sofa with a table and a makeup vanity with a stool. There’s only ONE outlet so bring adapters! The best things about the room: a closet for the luggage, 2 closets for hanging clothes and one closet with shelves; PLUS we had a bathroom with toilet, shower and sink AND a bathroom with a small tub and sink. Never seen one like that before! Beds were firm but comfy…I have a very soft mattress at home and I was comfortable sleeping on these. Pillows are ok; the room never got cool enough for us, though.
Ship tip
Take an outlet adapter to plug more than one thing in as there’s only one plug in the cabin. Go find Brad in the Piano Bar for the adults 11pm show! Well, unless you’re easily offended lol
Beautiful waters! Reserve a clam shell or do an excursion. Not much to do but it would make a fabulous beach day as the sand is white and powdery but the water is what will take your breath away! Gorgeous
We didn’t do an excursion and I regret it. The shopping district in Port Lucaya apparently hasn’t recovered from Covid yet as it was mostly deserted. Port area is sparse. There was a nice Senor Frogs, though.
Wish I’d booked the excursion as apparently the crime has gotten worse outside of the port area and we were discouraged from exploring on our own. The walk from the ship to the end of the pier was looooooong! We did a little shopping then ended our day at Senor Frog’s. The tacos are awesome!
So quick and easy with a passport! They use facial recognition which speeds everyone along. Didn’t even have to show our passports as they took pics as we got on the ship. Easy-peasy!
"Lido buffet was awful"..."buffet food was OK" are these different places? It's not often we see a Guy's Burger hater but everyone has their own tastes.
