Review summary

We had an alright time over all, disappointed in the food and entertainment. Will definitely cruise again but will probably try other lines until we find one we love

Embarkation

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Based on the reviews I saw online I really expected to be wow'd by the food. I was not. Main dining was decent, small portions but that's fine when you can order as many as you like. A lot of it was bland, but still ok. The staff were phenomenal. Buffet was not for me. Warmish food, massive lines for anything appetizing. Got cafeteria vibes. We waited 45 minutes for pasta at pasta bella, but it was good pasta Seafood shack was ok, but spent 40 bucks and again waited an hour for 2 fried seafood plates. The pizza was alright but after 10pm the line gets long. Guys pig & Anchor... Only open 3 hours and only on seadays. Huge line of course, as you would expect, food was alright. Guys burgers, this was actually the most disappointing. I was really looking forward to trying this due to all the hype about it being the "best burger at sea" and "the best place to eat on the ship" but I was really disappointed. Average burger, soggy fries. The best food we had was room service and seaday brunch

Onboard Activities

Loved trivia with James! Loved the art scavenger hunt and build a bear

Entertainment

2 out of 5
The ventriloquist was ok, the comedy was not especially funny. We didn't go to the playlist production shows, but as I understand it from folks who did, there were a lot of equipment malfunctions and half shows.

Children's Programs

Phenomenal. Our daughter had a blast with the camp ocean staff and other kids

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All of the staff on board was exceptional. Our room steward was our favorite

Ship Quality

I didn't like that the galley was in the middle of the lower floors because sometimes you had to go up the stairs and then back down the stairs just to get where you wanted to be. And the windows in the Scarlet dining room were dirty but other than that everything else was clean and well maintained

Cabin / Stateroom

Comfy, clean and big enough for the 3 of us

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

Key West, Florida

Loved the chickens

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

Garden of the Groves was a really nice stop. Everything is really far from the port, so if you want to get off the ship here, book an excursion

Half Moon Cay, Bahamas (Private Island)

5 out of 5
Absolutely loved this port. Beautiful crystal clear water, excellent swimming and beach day. Free buffet was ok

Nassau, Bahamas Did not visit port

Skipped because we were badly sunburned and the pier was incredibly long to walk in the sun with sore feet. Sorry I missed it, but I'll try to go back again

Disembarkation

People were fussy and crowding, which is understandable, but it was not a pleasant experience.
